This place is the best value accommodation in Shetland. I have no idea why the previous reviews are so poor. We are locals who had to have a stay over for a medical appointment, and the cabin is exactly what it looks like in the photos. There is no bedding- a fact that is made clear on the booking.com website and in the email we received from the park directly. A previous poster criticised there being no kettle. There is a kettle, located in the kitchenette area. There is no accommodation for 5 people available on Shetland at this price, so what you see is what you get. If you are after something 4 *, go and stay in the Lerwick Hotel for £300+ a night.

The friendly helpful couple were just the best. Picked us up from the ferry and drove us around showing us where good walks were and how to get to Noss Island. We had a great stay and really enjoyed there company and they were even good enough to let us check out a little later due to some phone issue we were having.

Robert and Jill were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. The room was lovely and the bed extremely comfortable. It was also a unique experience to spend the night in a house where scenes from the Shetland Detective series were filmed.

Braelea was exactly what I was looking for. It felt quite isolated but still accessible to the local towns and easy to get to from Sumburgh Airport. The home was extremely clean and comfortable and the owner was so helpful and friendly.

The chalet was very well equipped and had everything you needed. It was located in a stunning location with fantastic views from the lounge. It was easy to explore the mainland from this location. The fact that there was a laundry on site was a big bonus. The beds were really comfortable too.

The hotel and staff were excellent, I would have no complaints. The location is great just what suited me happily there was very little/no suitable accomodation in Lerwick or I would not have found this place. Only negative point I could make is for me for a single room I thought it was ecpensive, although as it was absolutely comparable with accomodation in the area at that time of year..actually cheaper than most, I cannot justify reducing the score for this. Evening meal and breakfast were also both very enjoyable.

It's the second time I have gone to these chalets. This time for Up Helly Aa! They are in such a peaceful location, from which you can see the sea. It's just a 15min walk from the town where there are some grocery stores and a coffee shop. They are fully equipped, they are very clean and comfortable. We never met the owner, but she's got a very creative garden and an arts and crafts store.
