It was a wonderful stay! Very relaxing! The hotel is beautiful with great food and very friendly staff. We booked it at the end of our stay to just relax for a couple of days and it was perfect for that.

Wonderful hotel right on the waterfront with a view of the castle. The building is very nice and well maintained. The staff is very helpful. Enrique is the best. The menu is simple but suitable for a few days. Rio Dulce is a 5-minute boat ride away. The sunset is amazing.

We had the most wonderful stay at La Isla Dulce- the best hostel we have ever stayed at. The owners, Daria and Douglas, made us feel right at home from the beginning. The food prepared by Daria and the local women was delicious and made with a lot of love. Douglas went out of his way to organize boat and bus transfer back to Guatemala City for us. And the house we stayed in was breathtaking- beautifully designed, with gorgeous furniture, amazing bed, and a beautiful view of the lake. I sincerely hope we can come back and visit again.
