San Juan is a very active and congested town. Even though Nuevo Sol is in the heart of the town with several restaurants within a hundred meters, the property behind its' walls is quiet and lush, surprisingly so. There's a beautiful yard with plenty of places to sit and soak up the beauty and tranquility. The owners are wonderful and easy to get along with. There's also a kitchen.

We loved to stay here and even extended our stay! The room and view is just stunning, spacious and very clean. The location not at lake is perfect and really quiet- and supernice staff!

Location was fantastic. Hostel located right in front of boat dock. Really nice and big social terrace area. Great sun trap. The views from this hostel are fantastic. Cheap happy hour and brilliant themed nights. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend the family evening meals as the walk up to Santa Cruz is steep and not much going on in the town. Very residential

Location - right off boat when get to Santa Cruz, at Lake Atitlán. can get private rooms. the atmosphere for hostel is very good. Everyone is respecting each others space and it's very positive vibes. Great food/full bar, always action at this hostel. Very clean. staff is excellent. Especially fun to sit up top and watch the tuktuk drivers, drive up/down the hill to town. there is a Sauna and nightly events Been now living beside this hostel for a few weeks, and always have a great time when visit. Great energy.
