We had a wonderful stay at Mama’s, the place is still partly under renovation but the room, the bathrooms and the common area are already so comfortable and lovely, very clean and well decorated. Breakfast is also delicious! Many many thanks to Faldi and Nina for their hospitality and their kindness. We had a one day tour around Ruteng with Faldi and got to see beautiful landscapes! We also got the chance to learn more about Maggarai culture and meet with Faldi’s family.

jeff is the kindest!!! the night we arrived, he waited a lotttt (our bus was delayed) and picked us from the center at a coffee shop and once we left to Labuan Bajo, he organized the bus, the food and water for us. every night he’d have dinner with us and tell us aaaall about local traditions and stories, his family would serve different dishes and drinks. they also have laundry service and local recommendations (restaurants, places to see, even tips for discounts hah)

I had a truly pleasant stay at Natalia Homestay. The room was very clean and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to rest after a long day. The owner was kind and welcoming, always ready to help with anything I needed, which made me feel right at home. One of the great conveniences offered was motorbike rental, which made exploring the area much easier and more enjoyable. The location is also excellent close to many attractions, restaurants, and local shops, making it a perfect base for anyone visiting the area. We were the first guests at this accommodation, and Peter and his whole family treated us wonderfully. They made everything easy for us and were very attentive. There are still a couple of small details to finish, but the stay is pleasant and it has everything you need. It’s a pity we couldn’t go see the sunrise from their rice terrace.

Petronella, Alexander and Abel were wonderful hosts. They welcomed us into their home in such a cheerful and friendly way. They helped us renting a scooter and also with a phone call when we needed it. Petronella is also a wonderful chef and we enjoyed her simple and genuine cooking very much. The accommodation is very clean and simple but has everything you might need and the bed was really comfortable. The shower has hot water and that's a plus because in the evening the air is quite fresh. We can only recommend Skipper house!

Fluffy, Theresa and their daughter Andrea are so kind and friendly. Their hospitality is insane and I would recommend everyone to stay at their house. If you want to know more about the culture and how Indonesian people live, than this is the place to be. Peter is an exceptional host and staying with him and Karolina was truly a special experience. We were shown so many lovely places, the atmosphere was comfortable and very warm and all the tips about things to do were very valuable. Also slept very well in the bed :). Best place we’ve been in Indonesia and we feel like we’ve made new friends through this experience. Highly recommend!
