Wow! The Nomad Inn is fantastic! It is a real taste of old Japan, very nicely renovated to keep charming original features while providing modern comforts. The futon were really comfortable and the aircon was more than strong enough to keep us cool on a very hot day. The surrounding houses also reflect a different and more gentle age. The island is easy to get to with a car on a short (under 10 minutes) and cheap ferry trip from Innoshima, which is connected to the mainland by bridges. The ferry runs every half hour or twenty minutes depending on the time of the day, and the Nomad Inn is close by. Parking is very easy just behind the house. We went to an excellent izakaya in the evening called Aya after a great spa experience at FESPA, both a short drive away. We only stayed for one night as we had a busy itinerary but it would have been a great base to explore the other islands as well since it has a kitchen and washing machine. We hope to come back for a longer stay!

Had an amazing experience! The guesthouse is located in a beautiful location at the foothills of some mountains on Yuge island. It's quiet but restaurants and convenience store are easily accessible by bike. Was truly a unique experience. Koji was also an excellent host. Would strongly recommend!

Lovely Japanese traditional house. Very comfortable. Close to town and the beach. Really enjoyed our stay here. The host is very friendly and helpful with local advice.. Great value for money and a great stay on a really nice island. Highly recommend.

This was the perfect place to rest from the bike tour. The host is super friendly and kind and will inform you about everything! The room that we were in was so cozy and I felt a home-kinda-vibe right when walking in. Super comfortable and the host really makes sure that you get everything that you could possibly need. I arrived late by cycling around 7pm. The road it self was quite dark with no street light. Meaning location wise if u are going to check-in late, better mindful to reach early. It was kind enough that the staff willing to wait for me. He was super friendly and I had a good time.

We stayed here half way on the Shimanami Kaido. The host drove us to a absolutely beautiful onsen / bath house nearby, perfect after a days biking. She then made a reservation and dropped us off at a restaurant, one of the best meals we had in our trip. The accomodation is super spacious, clean and homely! A lovely breakfast was prepared before starting our second day. I could not recommend enough, we would definitely stay again if we come back.
