The best stay we had in Japan. Right on the historical street. The inside is luxurious, refurbished and clean, but in a very tasteful Japanese style. The host was very kind and forthcoming. You do have to plan ahead because most shops and restaurants in the village close around 4 pm, but then it feels all the more special to walk the empty street.

Beautiful and pretty stream flows and the place is surrounded by mountains and mountains (not high mountains). This place is not only isolated for tourists, but also the place we feel and enjoy the atmosphere mixed with the people who live there. Many neighbors come to here and talk. The dinner and breakfast are quite good. They respect the local foods like Gibier, Mountain vegetables and hand-made-breads and good wines. Shiojiri is one of the most famous Japanese winery places. They serve much of SHIOJIRI special wines.

Princes Princes Shiojirikita is located in Matsumoto, within 7.9 km of Matsumoto Station and 10 km of The Japan Ukiyo-e Museum.

Onyado Nono Matsumoto Natural Hot Spring provides rooms in Matsumoto near Matsumoto Station and Matsumoto Castle.

Everything was clean as guests have to leave their shoes in lockers beside the entrance of the hotel. There is an onsen at the top level and even free ice cream for guests. Laundry wash is heavy duty and frer and the dryer only cost ¥300. Staff was always polite and greeted us. It is fairly near to the Matsumoto train station and bus terminal. This made it convenient for us to travel around.

Set within less than 1 km of Matsumoto Station and 4.3 km of The Japan Ukiyo-e Museum, Nunoya Ryokan offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Matsumoto.

The building is beautiful and the people that work there makes us feel really welcome. They were so warm, so helpful and gave us great recommendations too. Absolutely adorable! The location is perfect, it looks like a movie and you can walk everywhere. We also took advantage of the place and its very convenient if you want to go to Kamikochi because there is a bus there.
