We had the best stay!! The family that run the place are so sweet and kind, and they made us feel right at home! We absolutely loved spending time on the balcony and eating amazing breakfasts every morning with a stunning view of Ella Rock. Excellent value for money and perfect location, close to the main street but away enough from any noise. It was perfect and I hope we'll be back one day!

Location is 20/10!! Overlooks the Nine Arch Bridge. Comfortable little hideaway on the hillside. Owners were very helpful organising tuk tuk rides and providing a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast. Couple of tips for travellers. It is not the easiest place to get to but owner will help you get to the property from the main road. Also not ideal for anybody with mobility problems. But this did not affect our stay. 10 minutes tuk tuk ride into Ella Town and around 15 mins to Little Adam’s Peak. 15 minute walk down to the Nine Arch Bridge.

So far it was the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka. We were lucky to be the first guests of this wonderful place. Room is clean, everything is new and it feels very cozy. View is stunning - we didn’t want to go anywhere else Owner and staff are super friendly, helpful and professional We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend to everyone!

Our host was incredibly hospitable and went out of his way to meet our every want and need. He drove us and picked us up, suggested activities, and helped us out in an emergency when we needed to go to the local hospital. The rooms boast amazing views of the jungle, which is full of fireflies at night. They also have a projector so you can stream entertainment of your choice. 10/10 I strongly recommend Fern Hill cabins for your stay in Ella.

Everything was very clean. We had hot water, toilet paper, soap, and good wifi. The breakfast was very delicious and every day we had something different. The family was welcoming and helped us in every possible way when we asked. It is literally in the middle of nature, very quiet, green, and you can enjoy the sound of birds,insects. Gorgeous place, so modern and the view's amazing! Felt so comfy and relaxed after that long drive. Peaceful and quiet, but just a 15-minute stroll to Ella town. The host was super friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great. She even packed us an awesome breakfast to go when we had to leave early for our train!

Cheap and affordable. The host is so friendly and shall attend your request immediately. Food is delicious. In one of the best locations. Very near to the railway station. Also provided free drop to railway station.

For what you pay, it’s a brilliant deal. Good location - few mins walk from Ella town, laundry for cheap on site, very helpful staff and clean sheets and fairly comfy beds.

Very friendly service, clean rooms, and very clean bathrooms. Highly Recommended. Even though we arrived late at night, they were up and waiting for us. Provided us with dinnerware on request. Gave us advice and directions to the best location to visit at ella and directed us towards the best deals at restaurants at ella Town.

Sri Lankan Breakfast. Brilliant location. 5 minute walk into main town and train station along the train tracks. Very clean, spacious room. Beautiful view of Ella rock and the valley below. Friendly owners, one is a guide for Ella rock and considerably cheaper than online prices.
