Also hired bikes to cycle to Marken, a cheese factory, and Monnikendam. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast was excellent. There were lots of thoughtful touches. The location was amazing because it was so close to all the shops. Everything in the apartment was a very high spec and comfortable. Volendam Museum, which is just a short walk up the road is a real treasure trove of information. It’s really well laid out and very very cheap to get in.
