The house is a beautiful, spacious and well equipped. It also is very well located to access Lake Manapouri in around 2-3 minutes by foot. The host is very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend staying there!

A lovely place to stay with lots of history and character. Comfortable rooms, great breakfast, pub with food across the road and only a short walk to the harbour for Doubtful Sound cruises. From the moment we were greeted by Rob and welcomed with tea and home made cake on the verandah this was a delightful stay.

This was a really good place. Everyone was very friendly and helped me very good with whatever needed. They try to make it a home and not just a camping. I stayed at their other site too Postum Lodge and had the same feeling. Good people. And very cute houses to stay.

So cute, amazing view and great rooms with single beds. Very cosy vibes here. Loved my stay as its feels more homey and remote. It's close to Te Anau but with much more space. Great staff too!

    A really lovely place to stay in a spectacular location and great vibe. We stayed in the dorm and it was very cosy and comfortable. The kitchen area was well stocked, although it was maybe a bit small for purpose at peak times. The bathrooms were very clean. The location is amazing, a quiet village away with a beauiful beach lake looking out over he fiords.

    This place was my favourite stay in NZ so far. Henry and the rest of the staff were extremely accommodating. I stayed here as a solo traveler in the dorm, and with another person in the cottage and the budget room all had comfy beds and had all the facilities you needed in their different forms. Was a fantastic location for Fraser beach, Milford sounds, doubtful sounds and many local walks. Free kayaks too which were easy to use whenever you wanted. I would definitely recommend and return.

    I liked the location. Very nice people living here and good host. Affordable. Clean. Really liked that I could do the barbecue of my lamb outside!
