Fantastic colonial house renovated with perfection. Very large and comfortable beds and bathrooms. Nice garden and outdoor veranda and beautiful breakfast room. The hosts prepared outstanding breakfasts and kids loved fresh made pancakes and adults omelette and home baked bread. Also free soft drinks and beer so enjoy in the evening. Location with a short walk to city center and great base for hikes in the parks and 15 min to Natural Bridge. Would love to come back if we pass by again. Thank you for a great stay. Not cheap but still great value and worth it.

I come twice a year to visit family at Washington and Lee and the Wingate is the cleanest. I’ve stayed at other hotels and they were dirty, smelly n disgusting.

The breakfast was good and there were many delicious items to choose from. The “breakfast lady” was available for showing us where items were kept, plus she kept an eye out for cleaning the counters and tables as needed.

Sleep Inn & Suites Virginia Horse Center is located just one mile from Washington and Lee University and Virginia Military Institute, and is close to Southern Virginia University.

It was a pleasure to walk into the lobby. It looked and smelled clean. I was assisted right away. In my room the sheets were a crisp white. The bed was very comfortable and loved the big fluffed pillows. Fresh coffee available in the lobby. Enjoyed my quiet stay.

Located just off Interstate 64, this hotel boasts both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, as well as an on-site Tesla charging station. The Virginia Military Institute is 1 mile away.

This is quite a unique Hampton Inn situated on a spacious, well-manicured lawn in downtown Lexington. I stayed in one of the Historical Manors, and it was quite an experience. These colonial style rooms are elegant and spacious, using colonial style and decor. Don't worry though, the bathroom is quite modern. A definite must for history buffs passing through Lexington. Its a short walk into the downtown shop, restaurants, and museum area, as well as to Washington & Lee College. Also just a hop and a skip away from a Blue Ridge parkway entrance, where you can get stunning views of the Shenandoah Valley and drive on to Shenandoah National Park.

The house was stocked with everything you needed. Was able to do laundry, with kids and traveling this was fabulous. We were treated with some beverages in fridge, some wine and little shooters of alcohol. Sample snacks also for the kids. The rooms and beds were super comfy. The hot tub after a day of hiking and chasing 2 toddlers was a much needed relaxation. The only thing you need to bring is you, your family and food. The house was super clean and cozy! Tasha answered all our questions and got back to us quickly!
