What a beautiful house with all the amenities just minutes from town. Howler monkeys and plenty of birds made every morning memorable. I have never seen such detail and thought go into the decor and feel of each room. We felt at home here and will be back.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable and they were able to provide answers to all our questions about everything we wanted to do around San Ignacio. The only thing to note is that the hotel is a little outside of the town so you might need a car to get into the town, it’s about a 5-10 minute drive so not bad at all. Most tours will also pick you up from the hotel if needed.

We enjoyed so much everything, well decorated and clean cabanas, the sound of nature, the wonderful terrace to relax, the refreshing swimmingpool, delicious breakfast, …. Loved everything about our stay here, it was pure perfection. If it’s available, do not pass up the opportunity to experience it. The lodge is beautiful and so well designed and presented, with lovely homely touches, clean spacious shower room, comfortable bed and bedroom with cracking aircon, great outdoor seating area, in all just cannot fault it. Communication with Hadas/Dusty was spot on, Hadas also arranged for us to do bird watching and cooking onsite with Flora, both of which were great experiences. On arrival we were met by Willy and Stinky who are both adorable and so friendly, they spent a lot of time with us when we were there! Willy was also a great swimming buddy in the river. Facilities in the lodge were second to none and also catered for our unstated needs! Fully stocked kitchen and a bonus of running bottled water. Having the river there to both cool down in and sunbathe by was a bonus and well used with the humidity at the time we stayed. The location was perfect for us, far enough from town to be remote and only a few mins drive into civilisation. Albert, the main man on site in the day, was lovely and friendly and we had some good conversation with him. The security here is also good, with an electric entrance gate and non intrusive cameras, but Willy and Stinky were the best security, making sure you knew about any movement even remotely near the property! They also slept outside our room on a night, ready and waiting for a breakfast treat in the morning! So cute. If you’re not a dog lover though, they won’t bother you, so please don’t be put off by them being there.
