We arrived late afternoon which meant our room was ready straight away. The hotel were helpful in advance letting us of the park entrance ticket booth closing time which meant we arrived before closing time (5pm). The hotel is beautiful, the views are fantastic and the sky was clear both nights we were there which meant we could stargaze from our terrace. It was super quiet and peaceful. Right by one of the main entrances to the park, easy to find and very easy to start our hike into the park early in the morning. They have a pingpong table and board games in the dining room which were fun to play in the evenings too. We will be back!

We travel with a lot of people and made some changes that would actually would have been rejected somewhere else but they handle the situation with a lot of patience and professional. There is a private entrance at the chalet for the convenience of those who stay. The chalet provides rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. I was worried at first that this might be the wrong choice, since it’s a bit far from the park entrance and the main hiking trail. But this place turned out to be absolutely magical. I would recommend it to anyone. While sitting outside on the little terrace, I saw so much wildlife right in front of the cabin: two types of monkeys, an agouti, parrots, a sloth, a squirrel, iguanas, tons of birds, and even a snake. The cabin itself is super comfortable. It feels cozy, and the bed is really nice. Also, it’s easy to catch a small shuttle or bus from here to both the main park entrance and the starting point of the hike to Cabo San Juan, which makes it a really convenient base. Truly an unforgettable stay in Tayrona.

All rooms at the hostel are fitted with a private bathroom and bed linen. This was an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING property to stay at! It is a little bit in the middle of nowhere (you have to get off at Playa los Cocos and walk 5 mins) and within the property there are some stairs but there is great breakfast included everyday, and FRESH, COLD water (which given that we went in August when it was very hot every day, felt like a blessing). The room itself had a great view, came with two fans, a beautiful bathroom and had a hammock and a sofa-chaise as well. For the price, it is unbeatable. The hotel also offers laundry and other services (including a 1-hour massage that was amazing). Maria - the host - was super kind and very helpful! Would definitely stay here again.
