Lovely staff who booked us a taxi and were very patient and understanding when our late night flight was delayed even further. Delicious traditional Costa Rican breakfast, lovely courtyard, felt very safe and clean, comfy, spacious. I even did 20 mins of yoga in the bathroom in the morning - it was that big! Well located, just a 15 min drive from SJO.

Situato a Sarapiquí nella regione Heredia, l’alloggio Casa Sol presenta un patio. GREAT Location near the tropical forest preserves and the Sarapiqui River, right near the Best Chocolate Farm, where we also took a night hike, and just down the road from Aventuras del Sarapiqui (excellent whitewater rafting). It's a private house off the main road and I was worried about dogs barking as mentioned in some other reviews, but it was not a problem at all. It's a split level with two separate sleeping spaces, king bed in upstairs room and queen bed in the downstairs room, each having their own bathroom with showers. The main kitchen/dining area was great for preparing easy meals: rice and beans for dinners and fried egg sandwiches for breakfast. And best of all is our host, Maria who has been SO accommodating and friendly. We just message each other through WhatsApp (I use Google Translate to convert from her Spanish to my English). It's not a luxury hotel but instead a very artistically decorated two bedroom apartment and I highly recommend.

Volcano Panoramic Views si trova a Vara Blanca, nella regione Heredia, a 20 km da Parco Nazionale del Vulcano Poás. Posto meraviglioso in mezzo alla natura. Si tratta di un monolocale grande con cucina fornita di tutte le stoviglie. Bagno grande e confortevole. Letto comodo con lenzuola e asciugamani di qualità. La casetta aveva tutte le vetrate per potersi godere il paesaggio e uno spazio esterno con sedie per rilassarsi in mezzo alla natura. Ottima interazione con i proprietari che non sono riusciti ad essere presenti ma ci hanno fornito tantissime indicazioni e si sono sempre interessati che riuscissimo ad arrivare e che tutto fosse a posto. Colazione abbondante e ottima.

Nice, clean rooms, well-equipped common kitchen, and absolutely helpful hosts. Good location, close to airport and perfect for one-day trip locations from San Jose, safe surroundings.

Il personale di questa struttura è di una gentilezza immensa, ti fa sentire ben accolto e coccolato. Il luogo è curato e pulito in ogni suo ambiente. Abbiamo apprezzato molto l'atmosfera nello chalet e la cura del giardino, ma anche il cibo: genuino, ben cucinato e, in particolare nel caso dei dolci, veramente notevole!

This "Guest House" is huge. A family of 4+ could easily move in here and live comfortably. The back decks are beautiful to just sit and watch the jungle. It is a little way down the road from the city, which means it is quiet and very laid back. I had both a breakfast and a dinner while at the guest house. Both were great portions with a lot of variety, tasty, and well worth the money. Unfortunately, my schedule and Wendy's schedule didn't align for her bird tour. There was lots of flora and fauna to explore. My personal sightings included Toucans and a Morpha butterfly. I'm willing to bet that there was a lot I missed that Wendy could have found and shared!

Modern apartment was comfortable and suitable for simple meal preparation. A small grocery store is approximately a block away and has basic items for snacks, or a light meal. The neighborhood is safe for walking. Uber was convenient to access restaurants or Britt coffee. One morning our hostess prepared an excellent breakfast for an additional charge. We loved the grounds and were very happy that we chose this accommodation rather than a standard hotel.

Villa Calas si trova a Vara Blanca e propone la vista sulla montagna, un giardino, una sala comune, un ristorante e un bar. I am travelling a lot, and I can say that this was the best I have been. The room," 2 floors shack" was beautiful and well maintained. the view from the terrace was extraordinary, the gardening and surroundings were amazing. The staff was very helpful, (they did with me the booking for the Poas Volcano). Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were excellent. Heating in the evening with wood pieces in the fire place was both romantic and practical experience.
