Casa de Caldelas is a restored 18th-century building located in the historic village of O Castro de Caldelas, 45 km from Ourense. Its stylish rooms have balconies overlooking the main square and castle. The hotel is more like a boutique hotel. All details are well taken care of. We were given an ample attic room, that was very comfortable, with all amenities well working. The room was crystal clear, breakfast is served in the bar nearby, and is quite good and fulfilling (with excellent home made bica). Easy parking around. There's a wonderful common area with sofa and armchairs at first floor, and paintings hanging from the walls are so artistic, we loved every moment of our stay. The staff is extremely welcoming, little English spoken though. Would recommend this hotel hands down.

Location-wise, I don't think it's right in the central but Cea is a small town anyway so it's not difficult to reach. There's a restaurant next to the hotel (I think it's part of the hotel?) and the food was great and reasonably priced. I stayed here during Camino and felt super recharged! I was able to sleep very well after a long walk from Oursense. Highly recommend to stay here

I stayed overnight here as a pilgrim on my camino, I was very tired. The owner wasn't here when I arrived so I called her on my mobile and she came to open the door for me in under 5 minutes. She was a very warm, friendly and helpful woman with a big smile which I really needed at the time as I had been walking for a few days without really seeing many people. Coffee pods, bottled water and some sweets in the room. The balcony was a nice touch. Even though the room is beside the main road it wasn't a problem to sleep. Bathroom is nicely decorated, beautiful tiles. It is a little small but it was fine for me, i didnt feel like i needed more space.
