It was fabulous, good value for money, room spotless, staff were lovely. Meals are huge and tasty. Great using local produce you can really taste the quality. The beer garden and play area for the kids was outstanding and although we didn't bring our dog it's super dog friendly and was great seeing one at breakfast! We had a room with a balcony and the view of the wheel and the small waterfall was just beautiful. Would 1000% recommend

The Avenue is perfectly located 3 mins walk from the delightful town centre of Bakewell with a good selection of bars and restaurants and local bus services very close by.The property was spotlessly clean and very warm and welcoming and very quiet at nights despite being situated on the A6.Sarah the proprietor was an excellent and helpful host and provided a lovely breakfast of delicious locally sourced ingredients and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again !.

The room, the bathroom and the bed were all very clean -a point I'm particularly concerned with. My room was bright and well furbished. There is also a kitchenette which I wasn't aware of before coming, equipped with cutlery, a fridge and a few snacks. A good surprise! The position is very conveniently two steps away from the city center. The staff was very welcoming. Overall, I was very comfortable in this place as a solo female traveller!

Located in the picturesque village of Hathersage, 10 miles from Sheffield, The George offers free WiFi. The friendly nature of the staff and the food was excellent. My room was so cosy and a very high standard of comfort.

After staying in a variety of accomodations travelling the UK, this was an absolutely beautiful stay. The bedrooms were so lovely with every detail thought of, with beautiful bed linen. Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful. And an absolutely fabulous breakfast served in a delightful dining room. And off street parking much appreciated.

Everything was perfect . The cottage was nicely situated deep in the countyside but not too far away from the town of Chesterfield . The property was immaculately presented and had everything you could possibly need . There was even a fresh pint of milk in the fridge . A big thanks to Tracy for a very warm welcome . We will definitely visit again the next time we are in Derbyshire . Ps I hope you got the rain you so desperately wanted for the horses .
