A roaring log fire and fantastic views of Cardiff and the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan make this hotel and its restaurant an ideal venue. Lovely staff. Open fire and comfy sofas. Local products including food and hand soaps. Well Appointed font yea, coffee and biscuits within the room- all local. Warm, comfortable, spotlessly clean rooms. Our second visit to the New House based on an equally lovely stay last year.

The staff couldn't have been any more helpful. Their onsite bar and restaurant was warm and welcoming. The owner even put the AFL (Australian Rules Football) on the screen the following morning after breakfast. The surrounding area was picturesque and full of history. This was an impromptu trip after visiting the surrounds which was connected to family history, and we got far more than we bargained for with this hotel and Llantrisant in general.

Well laid out, nice bedroom and bathroom, the kitchen that you could actually cook in, and plenty of space to hang out. The apartment is up 2 steep, narrow flights of stairs. This was not a dealbreaker, but worth knowing. Also, the apartment is surrounded by quite a bit of noise. Crowd noise at night, seagulls in the morning, and construction throughout the day. Again, this is not much a dealbreaker for us but worth knowing.

She made us excellent coffee each morning, as well as she prepared us great breakfasts and talked with us about many things. The guest house was in a great location and we were able to walk to the city centre and Cardiff Bay. It was a very well decorated space with lots of light and space and it was extremely clean.

Housekeeping will go out of their way to keep you happy. The place is spotlessly clean. There is a washer and dryer in your room if you are travelling light.
