Hotel 1001 Nott is geopend in juni 2018 en biedt moderne accommodatie op 5 km van Egilsstadir. Het hotel beschikt over hot tubs in de buitenlucht met uitzicht op het meer Lagarfljót. Quiet, stylish and calm. The pleasant surprise was hot bath with a lake view and warm bathrobes. Breakfast was also good with a fresh home-made omelette (not very common in other hotels). Staff was very nice and helpful.

This hostel is located on Berunes farm by the Ring Road and is 45 km from the village of Djúpivogur. Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, and lounges. Free WiFi is available. The location and views are simply amazing, close to many interesting spots (such as Lækjavik, Meleyri beach, Nykurhylsfoss and much more). The staff is very kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

Blabjorg Guesthouse ligt in het vissersdorp Borgarfjördur Eystri, op 71 km van Egilsstadir. Het beschikt over een restaurant en café. Amazing remote location, with fjords and sea view. Not sure what other types of rooms are there, but ocean view is really worth it, it is breathtaking. Amazing modern, clean room, everything super comfortable. Breakfast was one of the best and most varied throughout our ring road trip. Really nice staff.
