I knew i was keeping the best for last and it indeed was. Spectacular view, contemporary design with modern setup and top notch quality. Highly recommend. 10/10

The windows have an incredible view of the field and the sea in the distance. We even saw the northern lights in the evening!

Kirkjufell central apartment Free parking ligt in Grundarfjordur. Deze accommodatie heeft een balkon, gratis privéparkeren en gratis WiFi. The apartment is very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need — it even has a slow cooker and a rice cooker, which is very convenient. We also really appreciate the attention to small details — the curtain in the shower booth to keep dry area dry, the mirror outside the bathroom (so you can do your makeup while someone else is taking a shower), plenty of power outlets including an extra extension cord in the bedroom. Even though the room is on the second floor (this is informed clearly when booking), so carrying luggage upstairs can be a bit tiring, but the staircase is wide and not steep so it is not that hard. The code for the key box and check-in instructions were sent before arrival, and it was very easy to access the apartment. The view of Kirkjufell from every windows is superb!

Hótel Karólína bevindt zich in Stykkishólmur en biedt een gedeelde lounge. Er is een zonneterras en je kunt er gebruik van maken gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. Ontbijt was voortreffelijk. Alles was super vers en een verscheidenheid aan producten. De gastvrouw (Marta) was super vriendelijk en heeft ons heel veel tips gegeven hoe veilig in Ijsland rond te trekken met de wagen in winteromstandigheden.

Guesthouse 43 Free parking bevindt zich in Grundarfjordur, en heeft een tuin. Je kunt genieten van het uitzicht op de bergen. I spent only one night at this guesthouse, but I had a really great time. The position is excellent in the middle of the town with a wide space where to park the car. The room was clean, cozy and had plenty of space; the same for the living room where you can just sit on the sofa or the armchair and enjoy the view. There are three bathrooms, two of them with a shower. The kitchen is fully equipped. Additionally, it was very easy to communicate with the host, who promptly gave instructions about the check-in. I highly recommend this place if you're travelling around Snæfellsnes.

Monika manages a very orderly, pristine guesthouse, dirty dishes are cleared promptly and she is ever attentive to guests' needs or queries. We appreciated how clean, cozy & well stocked her shared dining/kitchen area is, ample servings of cereal, milk, spreads etc... If you're looking for a homestay that goes beyond self check-in & check-out with a personal human touch, Holiday Guesthouse is the cozy stay for you in charming, serene Styykishholmur....also appreciated the Icelandic pronunciation lessons! "Rekyaveeek", "Veeek" & "Olasveek"....Takk Monika!! 🫶🙂 P/S : Bonus supermarket is literally in Monika's backyard....convenient! 😋
