Akira san the owner himself greeted me upon my arrival. He is very polite and friendly. Lodge staff tour me around the facility with a smile on her face. I had a great time and best experience during my stay.

They also picked me up and brought me from the train station. The house is a traditional Showa era home with beautiful tatami flooring. They also gave me some great recommendations for places in Matsumoto. If you need to recharge this is a great place. Having a bike was an amazing way to get around and see the surrounding area and city. Bedankt voor alles! En helemaal voor de fiets!

This was such an unforgettable experience. We were supposed to stay for just one night but ended up staying 4! Okay, from the beginning. We had different accommodation in Hakuba, but we weren’t satisfied so we were looking for something else and found Dark Horse by chance. The moment we walked into the house, we were greeted with smiles and warmth. Andy, Rika, Momo and Hana create something truly special. We’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels and such, but this one will stay in our hearts for a long time. Everything is well thought out, you can see it’s taken care of down to the smallest detail, you can see it’s done properly and not just to be the cheapest. We felt so beautifully hosted. They also have an amazing sake collection to try, and the food is delicious too. Thank you again and we already miss it. I hope we’ll get the chance to meet again. PS. Nunoya Ryokan se nachází v destinaci Macumoto a nabízí pokoje s výhledem na město. Jen 1 km odtud je Matsumoto železniční stanice. Everything about this property was great, the rooms, the private bathrooms, the beds, etc. the staff were an incredible part of the ryokan experience, very kind and helpful and took the time to speak to us not just about the ryokan house rules but also on a personal level. It was also the best night’s sleep i had throughout our Japan trip. Very comfortable indeed and will come again for sure!

The property was ideally located next to the bus station. It has a warm welcoming atmosphere on arrival & Tony & all of the staff were exceptionally helpful & kind throughout our stay.

The hotel located along the Oito Line that was accessible by car or taxi from Shinano-Matsukawa, Kita-Hosono or Hosono station. We had multiple email and message communications with the owners. Atsu responded to reassure that our commute concern would be solved. He would pick us up and drop off at Hosono station. The price of the hotel was very affordable and could walk to train station if having no luggage. Atsu was very accommodating to our trip plan change. He was thoughtful to drop us to the Shinano-Matsukawa station that the waiting area was warmer & was in town. Guest rooms were on the 2nd floor of a Curry Restaurant. Atsu helped carrying the suitcase up to the room & brought us furniture that we needed. He was also the chef of the restaurant. The food was yummy. We highly recommended this
