Staff spoke some English and were super friendly. They provided parking at the cafe across the street when I told them I was renting a scooter. The hostel is a 30 minute bus ride from Ryotsu Port and is walking distance to a supermarket and the beach.

We went to the restaurants that they recommended. Ichihiro was superb, so good that we went twice! The host drove us there and back so that we could enjoy sake. The place is just lovely - the decor, the space. Everything works well. Heating was great as the weather turned cold. Appreciate the washing machine too. Despite the language barrier, we communicated well. Sincerely appreciate the oranges and persimmons that they gave us. They were so delicious!

The bed and bathtub were really comfortable and a cold beer was waiting for us in the fridge. The host was so very kind to both pick us up and return us to the station the next morning.
