Try to get one of the rooms upstairs as you have a better view of the monkeys and squirrels climbing the palm trees. Not only are the hosts friendly and welcoming, they are excellent sources of travel advice and really make your travel planning easy. Bicycles are available and this is an excellent way to see the sites nearby. And the food!!! The breakfasts are absolutely scrumptious with huge helpings - you won't need lunch. The photo shows the view from the breakfast area, where you can chat with other travellers if you wish. The room is comfortable and clean. Unlimited drinking water available day and night. Lake House isn't about having enough power points (there aren't) or having a wardrobe or similar for your stuff (there isn't). It's about unbelievable value, in all senses of the word.

We ate breakfast lunch and dinner here our entire stay because it was so well done - Fresh cut flowers in the room - Full luscious live plants in the bathroom to mimic the beauty out our front patio - Large fridge and coffee and tea amenities - Luxurious stand alone tub under a sky light was well used by me - Soft full towels and bathmats - Very large room and bathroom which were both SPOTLESSLY CLEAN - CLOSE to everything one travels to Anuradhapura to see; not close to the town, but no need to go to the town - Each unit has its own koi pond with plants But the best of all was the warm and genuine service. Truly a diamond.

The stay at Corner Cottage was the highlight of our trip. This young couple is welcoming and energetic to create an exceptional yet homey experience for tourists. Make sure you request dinner! Amazing food and with a tuk tuk on site it was so convenient to get a ride to the bus and our own tour!

Kaala Kalaththewa Luxury Eco Resort se află în Holambra, la 6 km de Attikulama Tank, și pune la dispoziție o piscină în aer liber, o grădină, o terasă și parcare privată gratuită. It was exceptional. The staff was professional and attentive and made us feel very welcome. The whole resort was clean, spacious and beautifully designed. It's located in a small forest with butterflies, pheasants, a variety of wild birds and cute chickens. You can take a walk, play badminton, go to the nearby lake or visit the temples in anuradhapura or mihintale - it's very close. The hosts can arrange tours as well - we went to Anuradhapura with a guide and it was very fun and a fair price. Also the food: try the Sri Lankan breakfast it's delicious! We loved the tree house - it was so relaxing when it was rainy. They even offered room service. :) long story short - a must stay. Ps: please note that there is nature around. It's a tree house in a jungle-like forest. There are occasionally frogs and other visitors on your terrace. We loved it though.

Chill House Hostel se găsește în Holambra, la aproximativ 8 minute de mers pe jos de Anuradhapura Railway Station și la 1,8 km de Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed! Jonti was always attentive, he kept the place clean and tidy, a kind soul to chat with! I enjoyed cooking and sharing food with my roommates, and just chilling out in the common area. Watching animals coming and going in the garden was fun - mongoose, monkey, parrot, Bengali monitor, woodpecker, kingfisher, hornbill, etc. Two minutes walk to the lake for sunrise/sunset. Truly a gem in Anuradhapura!

Very clean. Everything was new and it semelles amazing. The caretaker was very polite and cooked is incredible dinner. If you want to do the Safari, this place is perfect. We booked a Safari with getyourguide but you can also book directly with them.
