Out stay at River cottage have been a pleasure. The room was really clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff and the owner of River cottage is very helpful, friendly and nice persons. We arrived a little bit earlier than time for check in and it was no problem. The dinner and breakfast was delicious! The owner did drive us to the buss for kindness the day we continued our journey and he always answered our questions and was helpful. If you looking for a stay that’s are comfortable, out of town, good food,quiet and like to have beautiful nature around you, we really recommend River cottage!

L’établissement Mailagama Cinnamon Residence se situe à Kataragama, à respectivement 21 km et 22 km de ces lieux d’intérêt : Situlpawwa et Tissa Wewa. This was our second visit to Mailagama Cinnamon Residence and we were truly happy to see again the owners of the hotel, Indira and her husband. The hotel is located in a picturesque place among green rice fields. We loved walking around the area - there are large lakes nearby, and there are few people around, but an incredible number of peacocks. A real kingdom of peacocks. The room was clean and spacious, with a balcony with a great view. There was also a big shared terrace to work online or to do yoga. The fans helped to cope with the heat, which was important for us. We really liked the Srilankan food at the hotel - delicious and served with great elegance. Manager Inbaraj was always attentive and helped us with any questions. On his advice, we visited two temples - Rock Temple where you can see dozens of funny monkeys and Kataragama Maha Devalaya. Both places are interesting and atmospheric, especially the latter, which is famous for its festivals throughout the country. We hope to come back here next year to see the beauty of the nature and to feel the special friendly atmosphere.

Tout. Le cadre magnifique à côté d'un lac où on peut voir des bœufs et des paons. La chambre immense et très agreable avec une saĺle de bain avec une bonne pression, un sèche cheveux et tout le nécessaire. L'hôte qui était très gentille et qui est venue discuter avec nous. La piscine et les jeux pour enfants (kapla, raquettes de badminton...)

L’établissement Sam's Stay Buduruwagala se trouve à Wellawaya, à 39 km de ce lieu d’intérêt : Pont aux neuf arches de Demodara. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely, the place was friendly and we had a great time. Great communication between Sam’s place and us before we travelled ensuring all our needs were met when we arrived. They were very helpful and provided us with information and recommendations for things to do in the area. I would recommend and we will be booking again soon. Thank you Sam!

L’établissement Farm Villa By Heritage vous accueille à Kataragama, à 21 km de ce lieu d’intérêt : Tissa Wewa. This is one of the best stays. Place is absolutely beautiful and exceeded our expectations. We booked the cabana with the private pool and facilities of that was extremely satisfying. Special comment should be given on the customer care of the entire staff including the management. They paid attention to every bit of our requests. Food was delicious. We will definitely visit again.

Petite cabane en bois au milieu des rizières, dépaysement total! Le repas du soir est excellent, très varié, tout comme le petit déjeuné qui permet de goûter aux vraies spécialités locales !! Je recommande vivement !

Situé à Galgamuwa et offrant une vue sur la montagne, l’établissement Redstone Cottage Gal Oya comprend un jardin, une terrasse, un restaurant et un bar. This was honestly one of the most welcoming and thoughtful places we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, Sydney and his team looked after us so well. The chef asked what we fancied and was very accommodating. He cooked the most amazing curry, lunch and honey hoppers for breakfast (which we were introduced to and absolutely loved). They even gave us a packed lunch for our elephant boat safari, which they organised, along with a great driver. There were little extra touches that made such a different, like beers in the fridge when we arrived (and they went to get more when we ran out), a cooking class with a local family, a really interesting forest walk with an indigenous guide and when we asked if we could do some laundry they sorted it for us with no trouble at all. The cottage is in a beautiful, quiet spot with amazing Mountain View’s, a perfect place to switch off. Would highly recommend supporting this amazing project. Such a great experience 😊😊
