We stayed at this accommodation in Ella for a few days, and its location is simply the best. We checked out other places in the area, but nothing compares to this one. The view is absolutely spectacular, and we feel so lucky to have had the chance to stay here. The people were wonderful, and the family who runs the place made us feel truly at home. The surroundings were filled with nature, animals, and beautiful sounds, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. This is, without a doubt, the most beautiful place to stay in Ella!

Beautiful accommodation and a friendly, helpful owner! We felt very comfortable. Very clean room, very comfortable bed, and a beautiful view! The ride to the hotel was an adventure in itself; it's amazing what tuktuk drivers can do. The free tuktuk service to and from the city center was so nice. The only thing that bothered us was some loud work/noise outside beginning around 7am in the morning. Depart from that it was really quiet, and all we could hear was just nature! We can recommend this hotel to everyone, we really enjoyed our stay :)

We had a very good experience during our one-night stay at the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and provided excellent customer service, accommodating all our needs, especially with food. All the staff members were helpful and attentive. There is also a bakery next to the hotel that sells delicious cakes — definitely worth a visit! I had a truly wonderful stay at Fern Hill Cabins. Located high on the hills above Ella, the property offers breathtaking mountain views that made every morning feel like a scene from a postcard. Despite being just 10 minutes' drive from Ella town, the cabins are tucked away in a peaceful and private setting, allowing for complete relaxation while still being conveniently close to restaurants, shops, and local attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always available to assist with anything I needed and full of great local recommendations. One of the highlights of my stay was the authentic Sri Lankan breakfast served each morning. Flavorful, fresh, and a real treat for anyone wanting to experience true local cuisine. If you're looking for a place that combines comfort, nature, warm hospitality, and convenience, Fern Hill Cabins is the perfect choice. I wouldn’t hesitate to return!

Serene environment, top quality service from the lovely owner, the room was immaculate with everything we needed and very picturesque. The host even provided us with tea, water and laundry service. Possibly the best place we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka, and do not be put off by the negative reviews regarding the driveway, it is easy via Tuktuk and worth it for the views and privacy. Their tuktuk shuttle is free and available 24/7 - thank you again for a wonderful stay ❤️ the best place to eat is Ella Siyapatha Hut Restaurant. This was the most authentic meal we had that was cooked by the gorgeous family. Truly an amazing experience if you’re in Zella
