Naadhika and her family were the perfect hosts. Absolutely polite, accommodative and helpful. Naadhika's mother made us delicious home cooked breakfasts and dinners. We were tired of eating outside food during our trip, so their food was a good healthy break for us. Naadhika's mom is an awesome cook. Their homestay was probably the best experience we had amongst the six other homestays we stayed during our two week trip. We rented their scooter for two days which they offered at a lower price than other commercial places. They even accommodated our request to extend our stay by one day at the last minute and modified their other bookings. Naadhika has a very pleasant personality and is always smiling and her mother is a lovely and sweet lady. If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable stay, and if this place is available, please book it right away. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here if I ever visit Ella.

The views are amazing and it’s a very peaceful and relaxing place to be. The room was really comfortable and clean and we had a lovely breakfast everyday. The host is super helpful and very hospitable. There is just one single track/road that goes from the main road in Ella down to the apartment, it takes around 10mins in a tuk tuk.

The family that runs Wood Palace is amazing and has been great in accommodating us with anything we needed during our stay, first making arrangements for me as I was planning to propose to my girlfriend and later whilst our son got sick. The amazing starry nights from the balcony and fireflies lighting up the view topped it off. It’s located a little outside of Ella (5min drive) which made it very peaceful and quiet. The owner has a TukTuk and can bring you anywhere you need very quickly. Would definitely recommend! Thank you for a very memorable stay

Possibly the best place we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka, and do not be put off by the negative reviews regarding the driveway, it is easy via Tuktuk and worth it for the views and privacy. Their tuktuk shuttle is free and available 24/7 - thank you again for a wonderful stay ❤️ the best place to eat is Ella Siyapatha Hut Restaurant. This was the most authentic meal we had that was cooked by the gorgeous family. Truly an amazing experience if you’re in Zella

CROWN REGENCY- BADULLA in Badulla features 3-star accommodation with a garden and a terrace. The accommodation offers evening entertainment and room service. I’ve been traveling in Sri Lanka for three weeks, and Crown Regency is the best hotel I’ve stayed at. It’s not far from the bus station, with a market and supermarket nearby. The best part is you don’t need to worry about finding a restaurant—the rooftop restaurant’s food is incredibly delicious, and the breakfast is hearty. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is great, and locals often dine there too. I even met some friendly locals at the restaurant who took me around Badulla. The hotel is in a quiet alley with stunning mountain views, beautiful in both rain and shine. The price is very affordable, yet the service feels like a five-star hotel. Vinishya, in particular, went out of her way to show me a wedding venue hosted at the hotel. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable—I’d say cleaner than many four-star hotels. The air conditioning and fans work perfectly, and the hot water in the bathroom is reliable. The Wi-Fi is a bit unstable, but I managed fine with my phone’s network. I originally planned to stay one night but ended up staying three. Thank you, Crown Regency, for providing such high-quality accommodation for travelers. This is my honest review.
