We had the best experience exploring the national park away from the beaten tracks. He pointed out so many animals which might have gone undiscovered for the untrained eye. Another highlight is the homemade food! Do not miss out on dinner! Leel's wife is a beautician, so you can get professional treatment there as well. I was very happy with my manicure. We left with a heavy heart as it felt we made wonderful friends.

Nothing is too much trouble and we were very grateful to Janik for arranging transport to and from Amba Kola for us. Schwarna is a talented cook and we really enjoyed her cookery class - and of course eating the delicious Sri Lankan food she taught us to make! We also particularly appreciated the large comfortable bed and superb pillows!
