Well what did we get, the warmest of welcomes, a huge room which was spotlessly clean and an unsolicited offer to park my motorbike in the garage. We ate in the restaurant and went for a single course as we were not that hungry. Well £30 later we’d had 2 G&Ts 2 beers and two substantial meals, with sides included, with a real home made feel and presentation that made my inability to finish it embarrassing. Then breakfast where the variety and quality again left me stuffed. There are signs of wear our room had a patch of veneer missing on a wardrobe door but it made no difference.

It was helpful that they spoke English and the breakfast was yummy and there were a lot of fresh and homemade food and we made some of it for lunch.
