The room was big and comfortable, breakfast very good and abundant. Staff (especially Janith) were very helpful and nice they made my stay very pleasant.

Dave’s place is a paradise—peaceful, incredibly beautiful, and thoughtfully designed. The house was spotless and tastefully furnished, with fresh flowers and other welcoming touches that made it feel cozy and warm. The tradition of afternoon tea was especially lovely—restorative and a thoughtful way to connect with guests while introducing them to local teas. The food was excellent. We had the chance to try many new dishes and discover a wide range of Sri Lankan ingredients and flavors. The tea experience was very well done. We picked tea alongside the local tea ladies working on the property’s seven-acre plantation, and afterward, Dave walked us through the entire tea-making process—from plucking to producing both green and black tea. His passion for tea, and more broadly for his community and the work he's doing there, really shines through. The surrounding environment is magical. We went on a five-hour hike through the area—one of the best hikes we've ever done. The people in the nearby village of Gammaduwa were also incredibly welcoming, friendly, and kind. The staff were professional, warm, and well-prepared. Dave himself is a fantastic host. He even helped us arrange a driver at a fair price, which we greatly appreciated. The vision behind this guesthouse is truly inspiring—it reflects Dave’s deep care for the local community and his desire to make a meaningful impact. I really encourage anyone staying here to take a moment to learn more about it. It deserves recognition and appreciation.

Offering bungalow-style rooms surrounded by greenery, Habarana VIllage by Cinnamon is a 15-minute drive from Minneriya National Park. Our stay at this hotel was an excellent experience. The service was incredibly friendly and warm-hearted, making us feel welcome from the very beginning. A special mention goes to Hashani at the reception, whose service really stood out, though the rest of the staff were also lovely and accommodating. Our room was clean and spacious, with a unique touch—a beautiful outdoor shower creatively integrated into the space. We were especially grateful for the unexpected room upgrade, which was a wonderful surprise and made our stay even more memorable. The buffet was excellent, both for breakfast and dinner, offering a wide variety of options to suit different tastes. Everything was fresh and well-prepared, making dining at the hotel a delight. The location was good, especially when traveling with a driver. It made it easy to explore the surrounding areas without any hassle. Overall, our stay was fantastic, and we left with great memories. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others and hope to visit again in the future!

We stayed at Gaia Lake Bungalows for one week and had an excellent time. You can rent the whole villa and enjoy a really unique private experience in this central region of Sri Lanka. The villa is located directly at the beautiful Kandalama Lake (with a stunning view on the lake) and is certainly one of the best locations you can choose for exploration of the cultural triangle between Polonaruwa, Anuradhapura, Kandy and Dambulla, including Sigiriya. Sarath, the private cook will introduce you to the various flavours of traditional Sri Lankan food and Darshi the manager kindly supports any kind of arrangements you may need. We booked the entire villa for only 3 persons but there is plenty of room for 6 persons or even more. Moreover a large swimming pool is available for exercise or relaxation after excursions. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Con vista sulla montagna, Estancia Holiday Bungalow mette a disposizione un alloggio con balcone e bollitore elettrico, a circa 24 km da Centro Commerciale Kandy City Center. We loved the environment and the aesthetics of the vila. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Immerso in un piantagione di tè di 39 ettari ai piedi della catena montuosa di Knuckles, l'Ashburnham Estate-98 Acre Tea Estate with Private Waterfalls vi accoglie in un bungalow risalente agli anni... A beautiful view of the mountain from this estate. The road leading up to it is accessible again for cars or a tuk-tuk, so you can once more stay in one of the lovely rooms. Warm hospitality, delicious food, pots of tea (after all, it is a tea plantation), and an open fireplace in the evening to sit by for a game or with a book. We are very happy that we went and that it is possible again after the floods. An ideal place to truly unwind, but also perfect for a walk to the waterfall. There is so much to see along the way. And then the breathtaking view over the mountains, especially at sunset. We stayed for two nights, and a third would certainly have been worth it if we hadn’t already made other plans.
