The luxury tent features an outdoor fireplace and a picnic area. Our stay at Uma Buug was the highlight of our latest trip to Bali. We loved staying in the traditional,thatch roof hut, surrounded by rice paddies and the beautiful backdrop of Mt Agung. Our lovely host organized an amazing 4 hour hike through the rice paddies, jungle and village, meeting lots of local people on the way. Our hut had beautiful, fresh white sheets and the shared bathroom was modern and beautifully clean. The breakfast prepared for us was lovely and freshly made and we look forward to staying at Uma Buug again.

The hosts were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at home, from creating a cosy bonfire for marshmallows to hosting a delicious BBQ. Our children loved spending time in the river fishing with their rods and exploring nature — it was a perfect outdoor adventure for them. Despite the rustic charm, the tent was very comfortable with a comfy mattress and air conditioning, ensuring a good night's sleep after a day of exploring Virgin Beach. The rustic feel adds to the overall charm and authenticity of the experience, making it a great escape from the usual hotel stay.

Firstly, the location is amazing. You are completely immersed in a lush green paradise. The town is quite rural and far from the city, so a lot calmer than Kuta/ Denpasar/Seminyak. The staff are incredible and so kind. Willing to accommodate to every request. The food at the restaurant was delicious and well priced, felt as if I was at a gourmet restaurant (Mexican and Italian themed).
