James is an absolutely fantastic host — truly one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. He responds to messages incredibly quickly, and his home is spotless in every corner. At night, you can hold your lover’s hand and count the stars — it doesn’t get more romantic than this! During our stay, my girlfriend and I accidentally damaged the table. I was so worried and couldn’t sleep the whole night. But when I told James in the morning, he wasn’t upset at all. He just smiled and said, “Don’t worry about it, it’s just some wood — I’ll fix it.” He didn’t ask us to pay anything. Honestly, he is the nicest host I’ve ever had since I started traveling in 2015. God bless him and his lovely home. This place gave my girlfriend and me unforgettable memories. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

Perfect, tranquil, amazing location nestled on the most picturesque little pond, full of ducks and moor hens. The accommodations are cozy, clean, and comfortable, perfect for a weekend getaway. There’s enough cell reception to stream Spotify, but it’s too poor to do anything functional on a phone - which is perfect.

We loved everything about our stay with Ian and Jan. The chalet was gorgeous and had everything we needed. The hosts even left us fresh eggs from the chickens, milk, juice, butter and bread. We cooked our own meals in the kitchen - which was fully equipped with everything you might need. The bed was also very comfortable and the view was breathtaking.

Not far from York city but far enough to be away from all the noise. The site itself was peaceful and quiet. Pod was lovely and clean with tea and coffee making facilities. The shower blocks were great and spotless as was the kitchen area. We would definitely return if we come back up this way.

The chalet we was in was clean and tidy well worth the money. The location was perfect my partner enjoyed the 4 lakes you had and would like to book again in the spring. The fields were amazing for the dog he loved running around chasing his ball.
