Whitley Bay
Boasting heated pool, Seahawk Lodge is set on the beachfront in Whitley Bay. This campground offers free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. The property is non-smoking and is located 500 metres from Whitley Bay. The caravan was so well equipped - my sister and I felt like we were staying in a family home rather than just a holiday home. Great location for the beach and a short drive to restaurants shops. Communication with Janice our host was excellent and access couldn't be simpler. Janice left us fresh milk and treats - so welcome after a longish drive. The bonus for us - Pet friendly. We hope to return again - there is so much to see and do in the area. It is possible to buy a pass to use the resort facilities - although we did not.

Nice and spacious and easy to find and enter. Everything needed for a short stay was there so we didn’t need to bring for example washing up liquid and shower gel. TV and WiFi was available and working fine. Nearby is Whitley Bay beach - a really nice blue flag beach and some great restaurants. Also nearby is the lighthouse - a must visit as you can go inside. Reminded me of my childhood holidays :)

We were only a couple with a kid so was fine. Though it has beds for 8 people it would be tight moving around if we were more people But the place is well taken care, cleaned, confy, peaceful and has anything you need to cook. The staff was very responsive when we needed them. Would definitely go back.

Lovely reception staff ,very helpful ,good size room ,clean and comfortable The hotel is perfectly situated . Car park was included, which was great (,make sure you put your reg in at reception ) .it was 1st time in South Shields, and what a lovely seaside town and sea front. Very clean and tidy ,plenty of food places and beautiful beaches. We'll be back .
Booked a cosy Double Room - the room was Small - but definately cosy. After a few nights camping trip sadly with wet weather - it was lux to have a comfy bed and hot shower facilities. They catered for our dog paws too. Great surrounding area for a dog walk. Complimemtary tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. We missed breakfast so opted for a Breakfast Brunch from the bar - great value for money. Does have leisure facilities - the swim pool area looked Great - maybe next time - would definately return if up that way again.
Great location, clean and spacious. Comfortable beds and plenty of beds to choose from. Great shower. Comfortable living area. Kitchen area fully stocked with utensils etc. Great little garden area for picnics etc. Beach access directly across from the chalets so it was a big plus for the kids.
Mariea is a wonderful host: friendly, efficient, helpful and very professional. The room was excellent: quiet, warm and very clean, bathroom was spotless, the bed was large and very comfortable. The guesthouse is within walking distance of both Whitley Bay metro station and Monkseaton metro station. The beach is right in front of the property.

Very clean, comfortable room. Excellent location with the beach within only a few minutes walk, and near restaurants and the Marine public house. Wonderful breakfast served with enthusiasm and conversation by owners Janet and Peter, who happily provide all assistance and local advice that anyone could need.
