The hotel is peaceful, simple and authentic, with hippie vibes. The host, Babou, is the kindest person ever!! He always makes sure you have everything you need. He welcomed us with tea on the beach at sunset, it was magical. They have a restaurant, we had the grilled fish it was incredibly delicious! We were lucky to be the only tourists there because it was low season, and we really felt like we were lost in paradise.
Katagamuwa
Yala Mobile Camping inside the National Park is situated in Katagamuwa. This campground features free private parking and full-day security. On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the campground's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to stay inside Yala National Park, a rare and exceptional experience, as mobile camping is often unavailable in other parks. We initially had reservations about staying in the heart of the jungle, but this concern was quickly forgotten—the location is absolutely amazing, offering the real jungle experience we were seeking, free from the usual human or vehicle noise. This truly is the best place in the area, situated immediately next to the park, where we were delighted to see a wide variety of birds around the camp, and a nearby lake yielded incredible sightings, including four elephants and numerous crocodiles. The overall service and culinary experience were exceptional. The incredibly friendly staff always worked hard to ensure our stay was comfortable, and we truly appreciated their efforts, understanding that running a camp inside the National Park means they cannot offer the same luxuries as conventional hotels. Sara, the manager, is a good and brave person to successfully run this challenging operation with his dedicated team. The food was a major highlight and truly the most delicious we had in Sri Lanka. The chef prepared the food exactly to our preference, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond when we requested Halal food by personally showing us their preparations. The glamping tent was spacious and well-made, and we enjoyed a delightful BBQ around a bonfire. Our full-day safari was very successful; we were lucky enough to spot two leopards and elephants, making for an impressive wildlife experience. A memorable moment occurred when a leopard approached close to our tent in the evening—we suspect the aroma of our cooking meat might have been the attraction! Overall, the seamless operation, high standard of service, excellent food, and the thrill of the jungle proximity made this a truly remarkable stay.

Exellent and relaxing place to Stay in Yala. The owner was really helpful .located in nearly beach . Delicious food and very clean place. They organized the Safari tours very reasonable prices. Would recommend this place 100%!
Yakaduru is the best safari and camping place. You can reach the camp easily from the main road using any vehicle. The accommodations are good and offer a unique village-like experience. The safari is excellent, and you can request specific things you need. They arranged our food as we requested, packing it for our safari trip. The stay was comfortable and friendly. Initially, we only planned to go on the safari, but we also enjoyed a BBQ night, a 2-hour bush walk, and a beach drive. It was a great experience!
staying here exceeded all our expectations! The chalet is amazing and the staff does everything they can to make your stay unforgettable. The host knew a lot about nature and the animals that live in the area. We had a bush walk, a cup of tea with the sunset. An adventurous ride in the dark to the beach, a campfire with a beer and a delicious dinner. Recommended !
We stayed in the tented lodge for one night. The lodge is amazing. It is beautifully built, very clean with mosquito nets on every entrance and window. The open air bathroom rounded up the glamping experience. There is electricity and even wifi in the tents. We booked two safaris and one starlight BBQ. The safari organisation went smooth and the guides were really good. The dinner was outstanding and one of our highlights of the whole vacation. The owners are super friendly. Would definately recommend!
Yakaduru Yala offers a remarkable camping experience within Sri Lanka's Yala buffer zone. The standout feature was the exceptional safari they organized, providing a close encounter with the region's diverse wildlife. The enchanting live flute music atop Yakaduru rock during sunset added a unique touch to the serene atmosphere. The campsite's perfect blend of nature, adventure, and cultural elements made it an unforgettable stay. Highly recommended for those seeking an immersive and harmonious connection with the beauty of Yala.
Wonderful camp site close to the nationalpark. The awesome staff organized a beach dinner for my wifes birthday. Just us, at the ocean close to the entrance of the main gate, in the middle of nowhere. It was the most magical experience and i can recommend this to everyone. The camp itself is amazing! You have your private little pool, an outdoor bathroom and a beautiful glam tent.
This was a unique experience. The glamping was really nice. The tents are comfy and nice. It’s right next to the reserve so location wise it’s great. You see a lot of monkeys and lizzards. You should definitely eat dinner there. It’s dark with only a campfire and it was so cosy and the food was really good. We also did the safari with them and it was great.
We loved the proximity to nature and the views of the waterhole from the hotel pool. Watching the animals go about their day, and coming and going around the lake was like being on safari. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the rooms were great; stylish, comfortable and very clean. We always felt safe. It was also nice to be close to the beach and to hear the nearby waves. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious.
