Gina the owner of the Motel were very friendly and helpful. Room were clean and in good location. It is very near to Pak N Save. Recommend stay for couple and family too.

I love everything about this motel. Albeit old, it is maintained and cleaned well. All the amenities are working. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with basic utensils, pots and pans. They also have Netflix! The receptionist at the hotel is also very friendly and accomodating. She made sure we had everything we need. Even invited us for Christmas dinner! This is a good stop over before heading to Cape Reinga.

There were x7 of us and we had booked x4 rooms. We were in the backpackers area and the rooms fronted an enclosed courtyard with only one entry from the street which suited us. We had travelled on motorbikes (x4) and felt the bikes were safe, unseen from the street and parked directly outside our rooms. Also, good restaurant across the road for breakfast, the Colonel next door and shopping center nearby.

Flawless seaside stay. Exactly as advertised. Peaceful and serene location, immaculatly clean facilities. Wish we had stayed more than one night. Would happily return, and would definitely recommend to friends and family. Highlights included the epic views and beach access. Also, arriving to special touches like my name written on our door so we knew where to go, and homemade shortbread to nibble on. We were also delighted to find a little bowl of jetplanes in the fridge- a little kiwiana for the Irish half of our party. Decor was on point for the classic kiwi bach theme.

Overall a fantastic place in a calm location right across the road from the beach. The hosts were kind and helpful, and a lot of great and clean shared facilities. We booked three different rooms and they were all clean, spacious and with comfortable beds.
