The information about the lodge was too modest. The food experience we had was outstanding! Totally unexpected from the information given. It wasn’t just a breakfast or a dinner, but a gourmet adventure of international standard!. Credit to the chef Elvis and his support team. The camp is extremely clean and there’s a lot of attention to detail and service. The location of the lodge by a water hole, brings game viewing right to your balcony. What more can a guest ask for?

We enjoyed our stay very much: from the lovely house with shower outside, the terrace and all details in our room to the central area with swimming pool and seating. The buffet and restaurant seating was very good and the service and friendliness of staff wonderful. The two game drives were highlights: our guide Grant was a great host!

The lodge itself is spectacular, amazing setting, rooms were awesome including an outdoor shower, spa bath, huge bed! The food was great too but by far the highlight was the game drives. Our guide was Phillip and he was so knowledgeable and had a great eye for the animals and birds - we were lucky enough to see elephants, rhinos, giraffes, among others - but the highlight for me was lions! It was a once in a lifetime experience and I couldn’t recommend it more highly

Our stay at Stroomrivier was exceptional. The location is stunning in the middle of a private reserve where we were visited by rhino and buffalo at our doorstep. The staff were also amazing, nothing was too much trouble and they made sure we were well looked after. Huge thank you to Godfrey for being such a champ and going above and beyond.

An unforgettable stay at Makanyane Lodge! 🌿🦁 We had the most amazing time at Makanyane Lodge in the Black Rhino Reserve within Pilanesberg Park. The lodge itself is a perfect blend of comfort and nature—luxurious but still super connected to the wild surroundings. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch. A huge shoutout to Hannes and Warwick, our guides, who made the whole experience even more special. Their knowledge of the wildlife was incredible, and they really went the extra mile to make sure we saw some unforgettable sights. Thanks to them, we had up-close encounters with animals in the most safe and exciting way. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to truly immerse themselves in nature while still enjoying an incredible stay. We’ll definitely be back!
