Owner met us at the gate and was very informative. The little house was very clean and appointed. A good amount of privacy and the private soaking pool was excellent. Screens and AC but no bugs for us anyway. Quiet area very close to center of town with places to eat and beach toys to rent. No neighborhood barking dogs. A restaurant called La Carrera very close by was easily the best place we went to on the whole trip. We went 3 times. As a spoiled American that is picky about food, it would be a go to even at home in the US. Good cellular service.

There are 6 bungalows but you really don’t see them. It is only about 800m down to the coastline but the accommodations were in the beautiful jungle. The pool is such a fantastic facility. It was clean and may chairs are in the shade. The outside living on the covered patio was lovely. The kitchen was very well stocked and the appliances new. Xavier was very approachable and very proud of the property as he and Anne should be. And….there were no mosquitoes (mid-December)

The Yuana treehouse is beautifully incorporated into a giant ficus tree that has a lovely upper deck where you can enjoy the bird song. And there is plenty of bird song! We saw birds in many colours and sizes enjoying the flowers & trees. The landscaping creates a magical pocket of paradise 15 minutes from the city proper. It was a great way to enjoy the culture of Willemstad, local beaches, and the natural beauty of Curacao. For any under the LGBT flag, you have found a welcoming and safe space at Mondi Lodge.

We had both breakfast and dinner and everything was delicious. Our plans changed back and forth due to trouble with ferry and flight timetables, but the hosts quickly adapted and solved both a tour and taxis on short notice.
