First of all, the community where the place is located is super safe—just like a typical village with chickens freely wondering around. I stopped locking my door the day after I arrived, once I realized how calm and peaceful it was. As a solo female traveler I value safety very much. Satori is located closer/deeper to the jungle so it is even calmer, and you can start your hike right at the gate. Sometimes monkeys would come to the site and I could watch them while having my breakfast/lunch. Secondly, I was amazed by the owner, a true animal lover and sustainability enthusiast. They handled everything themselves—gardening, improving the land, and preparing delicious breakfasts. Communication was easy. From the moment I made the booking, they provided a ton of useful information—like the boat schedule and more. I asked, and they arranged boat tickets and guided tours for me. Keep in mind, I don’t speak any Spanish! By the end of my stay, it felt like I was saying goodbye to a friend. Amazing people. The cabin was clean, equipped with a comfortable bed and mosquito net, fan, shelves and electrical outlets. When I wasn't hiking or touring, I enjoyed relaxing in my hammock outside the cabin. They also have decent Wi-Fi. There was a road construction down the road (village part), so I needed to detour (around 5 min walk). It should be gone in a month or so.

Our trip to the Amazon was incredible. The best stay of our Colombian trip, we cannot recommend it enough. The food was local and they adapted to our preferences (my partner is vegetarian), the cabins were comfortable, cozy and we felt at home. The nightly sounds of the forest were impressive!

She helped us with organising our days in Amazon, she cooked for us breakfast and dinner, every day a different recipy so that we can try different local dishes. The good energy and effort she puts to make the guests feel comfortable is amazing. Overall the rooms are super clean and are cleaned every day. Location is nice because it is further in the jungle compared to Leticia but still reachable within reasonable time (20-30mins) by car

Hotel Amazon se nachází v centru Leticia, pár minut od řeky Amazon na hranici mezi Kolumbií, Peru a Brazílií. Nabízí vířivku, masáže a prostorné bungalovy. Amazing breakfast, super nice staff, great bungalow, amazing nice garden… an oasis in leticia. We felt like at home, the lady in charge is incredibly nice and dedicated, she does everything to make you feel well. The jugos are magic, and food in general. Breakfast to remember :-). If you want a colourful note: birds from parque Santander leave the park very early (5:30), which is noticeable all over Leticia :-). It is very good to have early plans anyway in the area.
