But what made our experience truly special was the owner, Chathura. He is one of the kindest and most caring hosts we’ve ever met. He spent the whole day with us — took us to the zipline, to the waterfalls, and even helped us organize taxis and trips around the area. We felt like we were visiting a good friend, not just staying at a hotel. Thank you, Chathura, for your kindness and hospitality. You made our honeymoon truly memorable. ❤️

Great location as it is only 500m from the train station which is 2 stops from Ella. Beautiful view over the garden and hills beyond. Very quiet. No traffic noise. The room was spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water for the shower. Delicious home cooking. But above all else our host and his family made us feel so welcome. Our host helped us plan a fantastic few days. He is completely fluent in English which made all the arrangements go so smoothly.

This was the place I loved most on our trip!! I wholeheartedly and warmly recommend it. There’s a peace and quiet here that we didn’t experience anywhere else. I woke up in the morning and took a yoga class by the rice fields, under trees where monkeys jump and birds sing. We booked the cooking class (2 adults + 3 kids ages 3–8) — the food was the best we had in Sri Lanka!!! The hotel is a 5-minute tuk-tuk ride from the town center — close enough to get there easily, yet far enough to enjoy the tranquility and escape the noise and music from the restaurants. One of the staff members took him on a day trip to the Ella waterfalls. He was such a lovely guy — patient and a true gentleman. He guided us to waterfalls we probably wouldn’t have found on our own. The kids connected with him so much and had such a great time that they even wanted to invite him for ice cream afterwards. There were many more services the place offers that we didn’t get the chance to try. Ella is an amazing place to spend a few days, and this is a hotel I’d happily return to.
