Sigiriya Airport is 96 km from the property, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Nirvaan is a wonderful lodge in the middle of nature and very close to Wilpattu national park. We were lucky to be around when Ranil, the owner, was there. Ranil is a respected conservation biologist and a wealth of knowledge about flora and fauna in Wilpattu and in Sri Lanka at large. He arranges safaris with good naturalists and drivers. His trips may be a bit more costly than what other providers will offer you, but you get a better jeep where you can interact with the guide and driver while you drive. We saw lots of wildlife even though we did not see the big ones- elephants and leopards. Ranil runs an organisation that aims to protect wildlife in cooperation with local people. He was so kind to take us to see one of the projects nearby. We admire the work he does. We highly recommend this lodge.

Didn't realise there was going to be a pool - what a surprise! We jumped in after our afternoon safari. Speaking of which, the hotel were incredibly helpful at helping us organise our safari last minute. The people here are so kind. We were greeted with drinks when we arrived, when we came back from safari. It's all felt very luxurious! Dinner was really tasty, as was breakfast and the room is really nice.

The chalet complex offers some units that have sea views, and units have a private bathroom and a desk. All units at the chalet complex feature air conditioning and a wardrobe.

Guests at the chalet will be able to enjoy activities in and around Kalpitiya, like hiking. With an outdoor fireplace and a picnic area, this chalet offers ample opportunities to wind down. Quiet and peacefull place. The Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Food available a'la carte (pre order is required), tasty, with vegetarian options aswell.

It has all elements required, good wind, good equipment, shallow warm waters and best of all, an amazing team of great kitesurfers who hosted us with love!
