Situated in Pohara, Ratanui Lodge features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy free bikes, a terrace and a bar. We loved our stay at Ratatnui Lodge - the staff was so accommodating to anything and everything we needed. The rooms were very comfortable; outdoor jacuzzi (needed to be cleaned but still nice) and pool area were a great bonus. Included breakfast was amazing and I had the delicious blueberry pancakes both days. Dinner and Bar/Drinks were also exceptional. Location is great for exploring the north and west side of Abel Tasman. We planned to take a water taxi to the east side but the road was closed to due slips (not a problem we did that on our way out from the east side of the park). Room included basics such as tea and coffee - robes included for relaxing. Truly this was one of our favorite places we stayed. Staff helped us coordinate our activities and when we had to cancel one due to the road being out they made sure we got our refund. Amazing stay!!!

Located in Takaka in the Tasman region, Rameka Chalet features a balcony and river views. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the guest house free of charge. Such a cute location next to the stream. I especially loved the shower having a view out to the trees

Set in Takaka in the Tasman region, Alpacas Off Grid - Eco Cabin has a patio and mountain views. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Amazingly beautiful place to stay. We loved everything about our stay, especially though getting to interact with the alpaca’s, especially baby Bobo who was cuter than cute. May was great host, cabin was cozy, breakfasts were delicious. Staying here was a highlight of our trip.

Located in Parapara in the Tasman region, Cabbage Tree Chalet features a garden. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The Chalet is spacious and well appointed. It is in a peaceful bush setting and has a private deck. Friendly hosts. Added bonus was a look thru the talented owners Pottery Gallery...well worth a visit.

Featuring a seasonal outdoor pool, The Bay Lodge in Pohara provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking for guests who drive. Filip and Sonya were fabulous hosts-very hospitable and generous with information and recommendations. The shuttle service to Abel Tasman made a day tramping in the park seamless. We enjoyed the accommodations so much we were lucky enough to be able to extend our stay by one day. Pōhara is an excellent location for visiting the Golden Bay and I can’t recommend the Bay Lodge highly enough.

Featuring barbecue facilities, Anatoki Lodge Motel is set in Takaka, 18 km from Golden Bay. Each accommodation at the motel has garden views and free WiFi. Clean, warm, very comfortable bed

Whare Aroha: Retreat to Wellness is set in Pakawau. Some units feature a dining area and/or a balcony. A garden and a terrace are offered at the lodge. Location: peaceful, secluded, gorgeous view. Host: Jai could not have been more welcoming and helpful.

Featuring accommodation with a saltwater pool, sea view and a balcony, Sunrise Cabin at First Light Rangihaeata Retreat is located in Takaka. Very short notice and Fiona was able to accommodate. Loved the quirkyness of the 3 areas
