Riccardo has built Isla Bonita by hand and added so many artistic features. It was thoughtfully made and he is an amazing host! He drove out to the main road to help guide me here. It’s an excellent location, basically across the street from Cambutal Beach.

You walkrights onto the beach from your room. The hotel offers surf and kayak rentals. During breakfast local saw scarlet macaw couple flying by and lots of monkeys in the high trees from our table, that was breathtaking! The area is remote with several secluded beaches within walking/ short driving distance. The hotel is located far enough away from Vanao beach to not be disturbed by partying people and close enough to enjoy the restaurants and so on.

De Eco Venao Lodge ligt op het terrein van een herbebossingsproject van 140 hectare. U kunt er verblijven in verschillende duurzame accommodaties. De lodge biedt een restaurant en gratis WiFi. Best beach ever, huge, no rocks, wonderful waves,no undertow. So much fun, felt like a kid again, and we are in our mid seventies! Staff could not have been better, - the manager Estoben, staff Manual, Eli, Aaron, Juliette etc, all exceptional. The restaurant and bar was very cool based around a big old style fishing boat. The food was very good. Very romantic setting at night under the multiple strings of lights made it like a movie setting. Lots of places to lounge in the shade or under trees in their large wooden chaise lounges. Saw howler monkeys in the trees. There are plenty of trails, one leading to a waterfall.
