Fantastic big wooden bungalow right by the river with netting on ceiling and windows, so we were protected from mosquitos. Feeling like sleeping outdoors in the jungle. Comfortable beds, even a hairdryer, which was not provided in many other hotels! Emmanuel and his family are very welcoming. They have a water dispenser for people to use on their terrace. One morning I was thirsty and thought I go quietly to get some water, as not to wake anybody up - only to be greeted by several "hola's" from Antonia. She with all the other animals are a delight to watch. Highly recommend to stay there. We also ate there and the cooking was very good. Emanuel organised a trip for us, we were totally looked after. We were picked up by our bungalow by boat, dropped off again and Emanuel's son awaited us with a torchlight as it was dark.

Surrounded by lush tropical rainforest and accessed by the Madre de Dios riverboat from Puerto Maldonado port, Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion is located in Puerto Maldonado. Very clean and spacious rooms. The organized trips were really enjoyable and interesting, and the guides were friendly and always available to help and answer questions. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The food at the restaurant was excellent.

Fantastic lodge and research station deep in the reserve and the Amazon forest far from all visible signs of humanity, dense rainforest teeming with birds, animals, insects - it balances the discomfort of the steamy forest heat and biting insects perfectly with a little luxury when you are not out on excursions in the jungle - exactly what one would want from an Amazon experience.

Il Refugio Amazonas Lodge offre sistemazioni a basso impatto ambientale nella Riserva Nazionale di Tambopata. La struttura dispone di un ristorante e alcune camere sono dotate di connessione Wi-Fi. Stunning accommodation, friendly and helpful staff, an excellent guide, fascinating excursions, a scientific research centre which genuinely contributes to conserving the flora and fauna whilst helping the local community. Altogether the best experience we could have had in the Amazon. Not cheap but this was a once in a lifetime experience and worth every penny. Slept better here than ever before.

The hotel was amazing - we had great food, amazing tours (which the hotel booked for us) and a great 5km walk around the property. The pool was clean and the hotel rooms were well maintained. Would definitely stay again!
