They are so cute! The jungle exploration was fantastic. The same warm was welcoming by community. This is the lodge I defined advice! I was in couple places in amazon and here you really feel like you become part of amazon. But didn’t come to some commercial hotel. I like them but definitely not good choose when you want to explore the jungle! Camungo lodge in Livertad is perfect choice. And the comfort of houses was great! They are newly builded! everything is nice and super clean!

The Amazon Muyuna Lodge is an ecolodge in the Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Communal Reserve , situated on the Amazon River shore, 3 hours from the centre of Iquitos. It offers full board and a range of river and jungle excursions. Away from everything, on a reserve , great guide Cesar! We got to see wild life at its own habitat, trips at night were amazing! We got to swim where some pink dolphins (boto) was jump around. Felt very safe, slept very well, food was good. The staff were great and very helpful! The company let you keep your bags at their agency before flight some you get to see Iquitos for a few hours. Amazing trip, very memorable.

Although it was 3 hours time went fast watching the landscape go by. It was dry season for my visit so unfortunately the river way very low and the lodge was not on the river as per photographed on booking. I do wish this was explained. Otherwise i had an amazing 5 days. The accommodation was clean, the food was ok. It was different everyday but simple. My guide Larry was exceptional. His knowledge of the jungle, outstanding, and his English was perfect. We made a plan on arriving for what it would like to do in my time. Highlight was the caiman night tour and lily pads.

The accommodation and dining conditions were much better than I expected. Living in the rainforest cabin, surrounded by nature, you could see interesting animals visiting every day. The best part was my guide Julio parano Garcia, a passionate, reliable, sincere and knowledgeable native of the Amazon, his perfect itinerary made me feel a very special connection with the Amazon rainforest.
