I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property. The outdoor space is truly a highlight — spacious, well-maintained, and featuring excellent and fully functional grills that made cooking outdoors a breeze. Enjoying a meal with the stunning view of Mount Shasta in the background was unforgettable. Inside, the home is clean and spacious and gives off a warm, cozy, and homy atmosphere. The fireplace added the perfect touch of comfort, and the bathtub was a great way to unwind after a day of hiking or exploring. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or a base for outdoor adventures, this place strikes the perfect balance. I would absolutely stay here again!

We can only confirm what other reviews are mentioning as well and rate this stay as exceptionnal. We had booked this stay as a sleepover on the way to Sequoia NP and didn't pay a lot of attention to the details or reviews, and only realized that this is a homestay when we arrived. We immediately felt welcome in Rosi and Carlos' home. Even though we only spent a night we loved it and had a great time/fun and conversations with Rosi and the other couple that was staying there. Rosi's hospitality is remarkable, she really goes out of her way to make her guests feel at home. Can definitely recommend. Also, accomodation was perfect and clean, the bed was VERY comfortable! Thanks once again Rosi and Carlos, wish you all the best and we hope to be able to stay over again one day!

Tutto perfetto: la location, la stanza, i servizi. Oakhurt è un paesino carino con molti servizi e ottimi ristoranti. La casa della Signora Rankin è a 5 minuti dalla via principale, in una strada a fondo chiuso silenziosa immersa nel verde. La vista dalla nostra camera con bagno privato era sul fiume. Fantastico.

I can't be more thankful for all the help and support we've got. They even kept our things we were no able to pick up 2 years ago. Such a wonderful place and person. The location is perfect right across the street from Kern river. Perfect spot if you are interested in day hikes, rafting or similar.

Il Black Bear Lodge sorge a South Lake Tahoe, a circa 800 m dal lago e a 1,6 km dalla Gondola dell'Heavenly. Tutte le camere sono dotate di TV a schermo piatto, camino a gas. Everything was perfect! The room was very clean and the staff was very kind to leave the keys outside for us because we arrived a little late.
