The most modern looking hotel in Golem. And it didn’t disappoint! Very nice room with view of the pool and sea. Functioning airconditioning, small fridge, nice walk in shower. Great breakfast! Seats and umbrellas around the pool and on the beach included. And what a great restaurant. We had dinner there. Great food and great staff. Maybe a little more expensive than other restaurants in the neighbourhood, but the quality is so much better! If I would come back to Golem, I would not hesitate to book the same hotel…

I stayed only 2 nights at Qerana’s Rooms, but I wish I had stayed longer. Judy, my host was just so welcoming and his hospitality is exceptional! He made me feel home and very comfortable. His home made limoncello is also epic! :) he makes himself the breakfast as well, from very fresh ingredients and his wife’s marmalade tastes also very delicious. The room has also every feature what you need and it was crystal clear. During my stay the nights were quite chilly, but Judy provided me with extra blankets. Highly recommend the Corner of Nature, if you wish to stay in a remote location, but close to Golem beach. If you are a hiker, you can find 3 lakes nearby worth to visit.

Our stay at this hotel was fantastic! Everything was 10/10. The room had all the necessary conditions for a comfortable stay, with a beautiful balcony where you could enjoy the view of the sea and the pool. The atmosphere was very peaceful, with no noise. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, always making sure that everything was okay. Breakfast was rich, with many options to choose from. We will definitely come back again!

Clinton has been the most amazing host. First we got stuck with taxi drivers and not knowing English, when we got the hotel, which was in a side street next to Hotel Miami ll, we had not exchanged any money. The beautiful soul Clinton paid for us and asked to give back when we got exchange. After that hiccup , he invited us in and upgraded our rooms from standard to deluxe. Clinton helped us with local taxis, best good places to eat and lots more, he has a wealth of knowledge. The rooms can not be faulted neither the service. Cleaners came in every day. There is head and body wash available. The area is a quiet area by the beach which is still being developed but nevertheless less beautiful. The beach is literally a 5 min walk. There is a good food place round the corner from the hotel that does good breakfast and Sea food, It's is called Majlis restaurant but has a sign of toredo cafe, it also is very reasonable. Getting halal food is a mission, as some places to sell pork and there maybe cross contamination. But there is seafood, pasta and pizzas which are amazing.

It's inexpensive here, the sea is beautiful, but there are no attractions. And the biggest problem is cleanliness. There is a lot of trash on the beach, a lot of open trash cans, in some places it stinks of sewage, and in one place something is leaking from a large pipe right onto the sand on the beach. If you stay at a good hotel, you may not notice any of this. But if you go for a walk around the city, unfortunately, it is clear that there are major problems with cleanliness.

After almost 2,000 km traveled by car in nearly 30 hours due to countless traffic jams, we managed to arrive home without other problems, but of course extremely tired—yet with beautiful memories, to which you also contributed with your kindness and the valuable advice you gave us. We learned, with your help, that Albania is a beautiful country, still in a period of reconstruction, full of wonderful and hardworking people, always ready to help you with everything they can. But perhaps the most important thing is that they have not forgotten that Romanians and Albanians have been, and still are, brothers. We are connected by both past and present. The first thing that surprised us about our host was the outstanding cleanliness we found inside the apartment. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with absolutely everything necessary, air conditioning in every room as well as in the kitchen, clean bed sheets, immaculate white towels, etc. It has happened to me to stay in luxury hotels and not find this level of perfection. About the hosts, we have only words of praise. Even before our arrival, they checked if we were all right, if anything had happened, and during our entire stay they were always there for us—at any hour—through WhatsApp and even through Mr. Nardi himself coming to the apartment in person, even though they live quite a distance away. We were pleasantly surprised that we even had free sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach. At our departure, they even offered to help us if we needed anything. Sincere congratulations to these people who once again showed us that Albanians are people with big hearts, always ready to help you as long as you respect them and come with good intentions to their country.

Too much garbage on the streets.

Too much garbage on the streets. No big seaside walk (existing one is separated from the sea, cannot see). Lot of constructions, and some buildings are abandoned. 7 euro per person for the beach (formally for umbrella? or per person? or per bed under umbrella? absolutely no info, no sign). This is cheaper than Spain/Italy/Croatia but the sea shore is not cleaned from algae. The sand is not cleaned. I would agree to 3-5 euro, or 15 for the family. Groceries, takeouts and cafeterias are mostly affordable and good. Fresh fruit street vendors are working long hours, I appreciate this. Night life exists, IMO lacks some relaxation, I don't know why. Generally lack of information is really a barrier -- for example prices are often not written, people speak Italian so I decided not to put effort to buy something. There was a feeling that different tourists can get different prices, and that's not fair, Please note Google street views from 2016-2019 are VERY OLD, now in 2025 much of Golem / Robit is seriously rebuilt and Google did not update. They don't have good address system so it is hard to explain what I recommend, but let's try: on Rruga Quemal 2504 (?) there is "Traditional restorant" / "I love albanian food" near SPAR, the food is great.

The beach is soft sandy, the water is shallow, good restaurants, nice people. Very good food at Mirage Hotel Restaurant, and especially at the hidden Fish and Sea. Nice pizzas in Pizza Italia, overall very cheap prices. Beautiful beach bars all around. The waves can be high. Still we are in Albania, so lot of poor people, garbage on the roads. You can hardly pay by card, get some leks at the beginning. The streets and infrastructure is poor, cars are parking and driving as they want. Still nobody wants to screw you (at least nobody wanted to screw us) and everybody is helpful and friendly.

Golem is a developing resort with plenty of building...

Golem is a developing resort with plenty of building projects on the go. A family resort it offers plenty of restaurants, supermarkets & bars. In the evenings The beach front promenade comes alive with activities such as bumper cars, air hockey, children’s rides. Like any resort it’s extremely busy in high season. Near by Durres is easily accessible by car,bus or taxi and is only 50/60 mins to the capital Tirana.

The amount of space around this property were great. Stuff were excellent from receptions, restaurants personnel and the rest of the team. Two big pools and one for kids. All of them great size. Whats important that one pool was filled with sea water and second one half in half. First time to experience this in any of the hotels in Albania. Cherry on the pie were pine trees all over the resort. Totally worth it. I would return at this place every time had the chance.

Very modern and very close to the beach. Kevin which is the owner is also very friendly and helps out with everything without any hassle. Its an amazing place and is a perfect place if youre planning on staying at Golem. The hotel is completely new so the fascilities are new, modern and very good.

The accommodation is located directly in the center of the district of Durres, which is called "Golem". All my guests were satisfied. The house is managed by Jurgen and his family. They are able to solve any problems and questions. They are also really friendly.
