We loved everything about this hotel! We could check in early which was super convenient, the staff was super helpful, the breakfast was delicious and of good quality, and the metro station was only a few minutes away and 15 15-minute ride from the centre. Would come back for sure!

Staff went above and beyond to assist with any questions or requests that we may have had. Extremely friendly and accommodating. Exceptional location allowed us the privilege to walk to sightsee and visit much of what this beautiful city has to offer… we even walked to the opera in our Sunday best (with a stop for dinner at a lovely Italian restaurant recommended by outstanding concierge team at the Almanac). The hotel is beautiful and magestic with a bit of a modern flair. The restaurant has lovely breakfasts and lunches (we didn’t experience dinner). The room is extremely comfortable and the bed heavenly. We can’t wait to return, it is definitely our recommendation when visiting Vienna.

I liked that the hotel is new, that the rooms are nice and clean. Due to good metro connections, the hotel is not far from the center and the main attractions of the city. Sound insulation is excellent and you cannot hear other guests from neighboring rooms. A very ugly thing happened to me during my stay in Vienna; a thief stole my wallet at the train station and took all my money. It was a lot of stress for my mom and me, and our vacation was ruined. There was no point in staying in Vienna in such a nervous breakdown, so we told the hotel staff what happened to us and asked if we could leave two days earlier and get a refund for those two nights. They agreed without any questions and we are very grateful for that. Their kindness and understanding meant more to us than the certainly wonderful ambience of the hotel. All recommendations for Bassena hotel. They are great! You won’t regret :)

    We are from Austria so we did a quick weekend getaway. Visited the Prater and the Ikono interactive museum. Prater was good. Since the weather was a little cold, it was less crowded. Found it difficult to park our car since almost all the Parkgarages were full. So highly recommend to take the U-Bahn. Ikono was ok. Might be interesting for small kids like around 5 years. Bigger kids might find it boring after sometime.

    Vienna is quite compact and easy to get around. Activities range from cultural classical concerts to fairground rides almost within walking distance of each other! Particularly liked Cafe Vollpension in Schleifmuhlgasse (near Naschmarkt), Edlingers Tempel restaurant in Praterstrasse and Schone Perle restaurant in Grosse Pfarrgasse. Hundertwasserhaus is an amazing architectural area.

    It was very disappointing that we as tourists were fined...

    It was very disappointing that we as tourists were fined heavily for not having a train ticket because we could not find a ticket machine . So it left a bad taste in our mouth, we went back to our hotel room and stayed there for the day and will not return to the city.

    Location is very good, U-bahn very close to get into the city centre quickly. The room was clean and spacious enough for two. We had our own bathroom which was great, shower was big and warm. Ample storage for clothes and cases. Also price was excellent, overall would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Vienna.

    This hotel is excellent if you have meetings in the Vienna International Centre (UN) and Austria Centre. Rooms are big, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. Staff takes care of everything you need. Also city centre is not too far away (15-20 min by metro).

    Slightly out from Vienna city centre but easy taxi ride into centre. Staff on reception were very friendly and willing to help any issues we had. We did have an automated high quality clothes washing and driving service opposite the hotel which was very useful.
