Very relaxing stay. The staff were really helpful and the room was spacious with a fireplace and bathtub looking out over the river and mountains. Feeding the alpacas was a bonus. Would recommend.

We have stayed at the Commercial Hotel a number of times and have never had any problems. Comfort and cleanliness has always been up to standard but I think they must have spring cleaned or have a new cleaning crew because the room was really clean (skirting boards, windows and bathroom etc.) - thank you. My husband is usually working so the proximity to town when I don't have transport is also very important to me when booking accommodation and the fact I just cross the yard and I get a good value meal in the Hotel. Also there is a small shopping centre just up the road for any necessities and goods for breakfast.

The secluded location and the views of the stars at night and the valley by day were spectacular. Marjory and Greg and amazing hosts - friendly, warm, and kind. Breakfast was perfect for our stay and our dinner of lamb shanks was amazing!! Thanking you both.

This is such a beautiful, peaceful spot. The cottage has everything you need. It was spotless and very comfortable for a relaxing weekend away from everything. Handy for visiting the Japanese bathhouse nearby.

How clean it was. My bed was so comfortable. Was nice to go away that day for my daughters soccer tournament and come back to more fresh towels. We were very happy and satisfied.

The house was beautifully decorated.

The house was beautifully decorated. We loved the cosy fireplace inside, and watching the sunset over the lake was magical. The bedrooms were huge and there was everything you needed. Laundry room was a huge bonus
