The pool was lovely, room was clean and comfortable, the spa bath was very relaxing. The 2 guys who run it couldn't be nicer or more helpful. We were only there for one night. But if ever lucky enough to come back to Australia would definitely book for longer

We loved our stay at Quiet Country Retreat. The place is so spacious and quiet & having the pool was an added bonus to keep the kids occupied. Everything we needed was supplied and little extras like the wine and snacks were so thoughtful (and delicious). Just a short drive to the town and the beach, we will definitely be back!

Forster is like many other NSW North Coast towns, recreation facilities abound as you are surrounded by Oceans & Lakes. Shopping is mainly centred at the Stockland Mall which is a short car ride away from the centre of town & Beach-side accommodation. There are plenty of Clubs & Pubs for entertainment & if you take yer Fishing Gear you'll be set like a jelly. If you happen to enjoy Oysters the lakeside Oyster Barn is there for your convenience as are many restaurants.

Forster is a beautiful place, so many nice little beaches to go and see. We also went to put put and on the water golf. The movies is only 8 mins up the road. Great shopping. Everything is so close by.

Forster is a beautiful small coastal town and a wonderfully relaxing place to visit. The people are friendly, the water is stunning, and you’re almost guaranteed to spot dolphins in the river. If you’re looking for a great meal, Limlong Thai is excellent.

Only a bit more than 3-hour drive north from Sydney to enjoy beautiful beaches & walking + cycling track along the river. Highly recommended for a weekend away or 1-day stopover when you drive north toward QLD.

We only stayed for a short time but managed to visit some beautiful beaches, ate some great meals and even went to the circus which happened to be in town. Shout out to the lovely folk who run the putt putt golf which was a fun way to pass the time while we waited for our restaurant booking.

Regretfully the food options are pretty poor.

Regretfully the food options are pretty poor. Dined at what were supposed to be good cafe/restaurants but the calamari was tough, the banquet was poorly planned/portioned and impractical for sharing, and there was no local seafood ... all brought in from other regions.

Neat,tidy and exactly what we needed for our large family to rest up after a busy year. Fully kitted home, strong wifi, kitchen and laundry appliances, right up to a multi-person kayak (which we used on several occasions). Brilliant location, very peaceful and quiet. Forster supermarket was only 5-10min drive. Great comms with the owners who had everything clearly laid out in terms of local tourism guide, restaurants, etc. We definitely recommend this place for your next holiday.

The motel is in a quiet street yet still just a short walk to Forster beach, and the centre of town. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of space to store my luggage, also ample room in the wardrobe to hang my clothes. Blockout curtains were appreciated and also the size of the TV was good. The kitchenette was suitable for preparing light meals. I was able to park very close to my room.

If you want to enjoy the sights, sounds and activities of Forster, then this could be the motel for you. We were well received and our check in was quick and simple. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The view of the ocean from our verandah was as advertised. Parking for our vehicle was free and secure. The location to Forster city centre was excellent and we enjoyed meals at the restaurant around the corner from the hotel.
