Extremely friendly staff. No problem storing luggage, getting checked in, getting breakfast or getting checked out. They even agreed to hold our luggage while we went to Rottnest Island for the day. Loved the shower, small but truly adjustible to fit big, 6'-6" and small 5'.

I have always loved Fremantle, from having easy access beach...

I have always loved Fremantle, from having easy access beach areas to the fabulous old fishing port which is great for socialising, and would be even better if I wasn't allergic to the fish, but there are plenty of alternatives to eat. The Fremantle Markets are a highlight, still with some eclectic stall holders and craftspeople in among the more conventional market stalls and you can walk around to any number of different restaurants with cuisines from all over the world, with one which sometimes has belly dancing in the evening! The character of Freo is great too, just easy going and easy to get around. If you want some history get to the Shipwrecks Museum which is amazing, and go down to the main port for the full maritime museum which has an outlook to the ocean adjacent to the promontory where the Whadjuk Noongar people stood and greeted the newcomers in 1829, saying Kaya Kaya Kaya, welcome, and you will find a lot of that in Fremantle.

Lovely vibe to the area. Lots to see and do.

Lovely vibe to the area. Lots to see and do. Head to ginos for a great breakfast and coffee. The prison is very close and worth a trip or two. Running with thieves is another great experience. Uber works very well there. All in all a great couple of days. The whale watching trip was well worth it.

Higham, was higher than our expectations.

Higham, was higher than our expectations. It was beautifully decorated. From the kitchen, to the bedrooms, to the bathrooms to the laundry, it had everything that you needed. The position, is very central, so you can walk everywhere. We had a car, Land Cruiser, and there was a loading zone around the corner that you could unload your stuff. Once inside, there was a remote control to access a private secure parking, just down the road. The building was built in the 1800's so it is 2 levels, however the main, bedroom and living area is on the top floor level. So if stairs are in issue, just be aware of this, however the stairs are very sturdy.

Vibrant area for people watching, some great clothes stores and other quirky shops. Plenty of eateries and funky bars. Freo market is fun for a little visit. Try Darling Darling for a unique tiny pirate experience and Gage Roads Brewery.

Wonderful place to stay, relax, try wonderful restaurants and local venues. We stay in Freo to indulge at wonderful restaurants and we are never disappointed. For local places to go to, try something different, try Darling Darling, a cute little bar on Henry St, or the roof top bar (try the delicious tapas lunch options) at the National Hotel on High St. Awesome.

Fremantle is a perfect location if you are planning a visit to WA but want to stay outside the Perth city area. It has quirky bars, restaurants and interesting shopping for all ages. The train system allows easy access to all areas across the broader Perth area.

This hotel was perfect. A very warm welcome when we arrived . Pre arranged parking was available. Our room was stylish , very clean , and very comfortable. As for the location , we could not have asked for more . A short walk to restaurants, bars, shops and cafes . Even bathers beach was only a walk away . We would definitely stay at this hotel again . We loved our visit to Fremantle, and we were delighted with this hotel . Highly recommended

Great atmosphere and location in Fremantle, directly adjacent to great restaurants and the old market. The original floors and style sympathetic to the hotel's origins as warder accommodation close to the old prison. Loved the complimentary happy hour gin and tonic in the bar.
