We didn't know what to expect but on arrival we were were just "wowed " with what we experienced! The cabin we stayed in was a step back in time and the grounds and Rose garden were sensational 👌 . Would definitely recommend a stop here if you want to experience some Australian history .

We went to visit the beautiful heritage farm and because you stay overnight there you can look around before and after the public have gone. You have wonderful views out onto the farm from the cottage we were in. We had a continental breakfast with juices and eggs to cook in the self contained kitchen the next day as well. The cottages are away from the main area by a short walk and are quite private in their setting. Parking was right next to the cottage and we were only a short drive from the main part of town for cafes and groceries.

Lovely location on the river and a pleasant walking distance to the middle of town. We got a lovely room in the silo part. Comfortable, clean, with lovely little touches like local products. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Archie the Silo dog was such a treat to have around and the best boy! We would recommend this to all our friends visiting Launceston.

We didn't stay too long because we were flying out the next day, but locals were friendly, food was great - plenty of choice. Not too crowded, some nice shops - antiques, bakery etc. Easy location to walk around or drive.

Everything centrally located along Wellington Street. Can recommend the Country Club Hotel for dining. Being a long weekend some places were shut, in particular a couple of homewares shops and a cafe. Woolmers Estate and Brickendon Estate worth visiting.

Bustling historical township with friendly people and charming architecture. Plenty of eateries, close to Launceston. Some lovely shops and very peaceful most of the time. This weekend the town was a buzz with hundreds visiting the Open Gardens festival, like myself

The streets were easy to get around. The shopping was varied. There were plenty of cafes and the iga and hill street grocery were friendly and great to get food from. I ate at. Sticky beaks just across the road.i loved the closeness to other towns. The people were very friendly.

It is often nice whilst being a tourist to have comfortable chairs or 2 seater lounge for seating. I realise size of the room dictates putting in arm chairs. For this reasin I would never book a motel room.

Wonderful to have time to explore and to be immersed in the life of early colonial Tasmania - buildings, garden were amazing. Waking up to a rural outlook was such a bonus. The location also gave us time to wander the streets of Longford and to explore the towns history as well. Breakfast provisions were provided - we cheated and had them for tea, savouring our time in the cottage.

Perfect accommodation! Value for money, more comfortable than the bigger chain hotels in Tasmania, comfortable beds, adjustable temperature, windows open, microwave, cutlery and crockery. 2 rooms opened up between for the four of us. Perfect! Looking forward to our stay again in late August

Longford Caravan Park is perfectly positioned to visit Launceston and also enjoy the peace and tranquility of the esk river. The bakery is a great place to get coffee. The boutique hotel nearby served a lovely roast if the day which we thoroughly enjoyed.
