We stayed in the Victorian Suite. The room was large and the king sized bed was comfortable. The room was equipped with a mini bar fridge, microwave, toaster and a kettle. Breakfast was supplied for in room self preparation - toast, cereal, coffee, tea, juice and a local spring water which was a nice touch. Location is great being metres away from the main strip in Olinda.

We have stayed in another of Como Cottages apartments, it was delightful Everything was perfect this time too. So many thoughtful touches from electric blankets, fresh firewood daily, top quality breakfast ingredients and even Netflix. We were so so happy there and will return !

I like that our room is on the ground floor so it is easy for us to load and unload our luggage. And our view for the backyard, it was perfect. There was a pond with ducks swimming. The hotel is also cleaned. You can do laundry too in a designated area. It's convenient. Ample parking space as well.

Had a wonderful stay at Grey Gum Getaway! The host was incredibly welcoming, gave us detailed instructions accordingly, and the place was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. It felt just like home. 1 night stay was not enough for us, wish could stay longer. Highly recommend!

    We had a beautiful stay at Forest Cottage — peaceful, cozy, and everything we needed. Jessica was a lovely and attentive host. The breakfast supplies were generous, the bed incredibly comfy, and we loved the fireplace (with all firewood provided!). The area around the cottage offers plenty of options for hiking, cycling, scenic lookouts, and reconnecting with nature. Everything was clean, well maintained, and full of thoughtful details — from a delicious house-made liqueur to a well-stocked minibar. We would absolutely come back!

    Olinda is a lovely place to stay or visit.

    Olinda is a lovely place to stay or visit. My husband and I had dinner at King Henry’s Restaurant which was close by and had a lovely family lunch at The Pig & Whistle Tavern which was also very close to our accommodation. Also close to The Botanic Gardens and SkyHigh restaurant and lookout. Fabulous.

    Olinda is in a beautiful, forested setting dominated by huge Montain ash trees. It is well served by cafes, restaurants, gift shops and pubs. The Mount Dandenong Botanical Gardens is located in Olinda and recommended to any garden lover.

    Loved the SkyHigh observatory and Cloudhill gardens - and the botanic garden- plus the Olinda Tea house was excellent. Central location to visit all the gardens scattered around Olinda and areas of interest- loved sassafras which like Olinda had some unique stores - highly recommend Olinda as a central spot to allow one to explore this gorgeous area :) Lots of things to do for varied interests such as trails and even visiting Puffing Billy in Emerald - and Kallista Tea house plus much more :)

    A great location, just a short drive from the other villages...

    A great location, just a short drive from the other villages in the region. Good restaurants were the Pig & Whistle and House of Fras, however our absolute favourite eating spot was Proserpina Bakehouse. The food in this bakehouse is exceptional! Arrive hungry and consider their chai tea (it's an amazing experience)! Many easy walking tracks within a short drive, with excellent views of Melbourne. Botanical Gardens is also worth a visit - we saw an echidna in the wild here.

    Olinda is just beautiful the shops cafes scenery brilliant Sky High look out is amazing and RJ Hamer Arboretum is a must see. We did venture into Sassafras for lunch each day the food was absolutely delicious highly Recommend Miss Marples , Sassafras Cafe and Fortnums

    We got to stay in Treetop Cottage 1. It was in excellent condition, very clean and accommodating. Each level was spacious and cosy. Also great outdoor views from each level. It was relaxing to spend time in the spa after a walk or being out and about. Firewood was provided for the fireplace, in which we didn't need to go out and buy. Perfect location, very close to town centre, walking distance. Glad we chose to stay here for our long weekend getaway.

    We loved our 1 week stay here! Kathy and Wally are exceptional hosts and the cottage had everything we hoped for - a super comfy bed, adequate cooking appliances, plentiful healthy breakfast supplies and a luxurious spa! Coupled with being just 200m from IGA, eateries, cafes, bus route and most other conveniences, our stay was a relaxing and perfect location for visiting the Gardens and Parks in the Dandenong Ranges. Stunning!!

    Love the closeness to Olinda village while still feeling like I’m in the forest. It’s a short walk either way to Olinda village and the other part of Olinda. It’s very cosy with the wood fire and the owners are very generous with breakfast provisions. This is my second stay with Como Cottages and I’ll likely stay again in the future on my next trip to Melbourne.

    Secluded private cottage. Clean and cosy. Good supply of firewood for fire and lots of snacks and complementary items. Glad it now has updated TV's with streaming. Great spa. Roses and chocolates when we arrived was a beautiful touch. Staff were so welcoming. Such a great location in olinda.
