It's indeed a pretty house with a big pool in a lovely garden. Swiss born Jürg and his wife Jane are the best hosts ever, very welcoming, generous.and helpfull. Jürg gave me loads of great tips also beyond Canavieiras. The best: take the boat from Belmonte to Canavieiras.

Canavieiras is a real secret in Bahia and Pousada Marlin Azul the perfect option to stay! Nice, welcoming owners, nice garden with pool, great breakfast. Only 2 blocks from the 20 km long, almost unspoiled beach. And you can continue to Porto Seguro by boat to Belmonte, a very scenic river ride through the jungle. Highly recommended if you wanna stay off the beaten track in a beautiful place!
